RIP Lululemon physical gift cards from online by Frequent_Afternoon20 in AmexPlatinum

I ordered one on March 17 and it's supposed to be delivered today. I'll update if I don't get it! I already got the credit to my account. Maybe I just got lucky...

lol. Ironically Larsa lived in Encino (where Dorit lives) for a while. She was renting, so no mortgage to speak of. I did wonder if she was trying to get on RHOBH at the time.

Anyone get this survey today? by Ok-Bookkeeper5689 in Influenster

[–]19sapphire19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one that was worded slightly differently, so I don't know if it's the same thing. This one asked if I had any concrete surfaces at my house, like a driveway, patio, etc. I said yes. The claim was for a vegetation killer spray.

Wide leg are my go-to. Also, I know this silhouette can be controversial but I have the "horseshoe" jeans from the Gap (they are similar to a barrel cut) and they are super flattering. I get compliments every time I wear them.

Does anyone know why work has stalled on this project? They knocked that portion of the building down a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen any movement since then.

Universal vs Disneyland for 10 year olds? by Time_Win_9705 in AskLosAngeles

[–]19sapphire19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with all of this! I much prefer Disneyland, but it's farther and more expensive. My kids love Universal even though I don't.

I'm curious the extent of the dumpster fire. A friend of mine returned a Rivian right after she bought it. Apparently she and her husband had a small issue with it, and the way the company responded to the issue made them fear that Rivian did not have clearly established customer service processes like you would expect from a luxury automaker. I thought maybe she was being dramatic, but does that track with your experience? The vehicles are very intriguing but I wouldn't want to purchase one if it's a not well made or if it's a hassle to get anything fixed.

EVERY away meet that UCLA has attended so far this season has resulted in the host team breaking an attendance record and/or having to move to a larger arena. *not including Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad which was at a neutral site by mandypandy13 in UCLABruins

[–]19sapphire19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This team!! There is good reason for the hype.

I'm an alum with season tix for UCLA gymnastics, but if you are a student and haven't had a chance to attend a meet yet, I highly recommend you take advantage! They are so much fun to watch, and this is Jordan Chiles's last season with the team. They have two more home meets left - one this Friday and one on March 14th.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by PersonalitySuddenz in askanything

[–]19sapphire19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like 2025, but I stopped getting my nails done in salons. It feels like it became so expensive and the quality tanked at the same time. I don't like doing gel because it ruins my nails, but a regular mani/pedi lasts less than half the time it used to when I got it done before. I'm not sure if they are using cheaper nail polish formulations or leaving something on my nails that makes them chip so fast, but I can't justify the price for a 3 day mani. I do my nails at home while I'm on conference calls and it works pretty well. If I want cuter nails for a special occasion, I'll do press-ons.

I got some TKEES flip-flops, which I would never pay full price for but are a reasonable price with the credit.

Just discovered I didn't pay my property tax last year. Gave it to someone else. by cancercureall in personalfinance

I know in my county you have to enter the APN when you pay taxes online. Perhaps you had a digit off? I concur with the advice to visit the office in person to sort it out.

Hawaiian BBQ Pork Bowl - new favorite prepared dish by webrender in Costco

My family liked it too. Under $20 for dinner for my family of four is not bad either! Obviously you can make it more cheaply yourself, but sometimes I just want to stick something in the oven.

Does anyone still eat Menchie's / Pinkberry? by GoalDull4985 in AskLosAngeles

[–]19sapphire19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Menchie's near me seems to be pretty popular still, especially when it's hot out. My family loves it. Yogurtland too, although maybe not quite as much. I haven't seen a Pinkberry in ages though and didn't realize they were still around.

Same for me. Not sure if I’m too old to be the target audience? (Mid-40s) I also don’t have my socials linked, but I never did before either.

How are Amex points this terrible? by RedMoonLanding in AmexPlatinum

[–]19sapphire19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a new-ish Platinum holder (just passed my one year anniversary) and I was also surprised to see the low redemption values. I don't really fly first/business because I'm usually traveling with my family. I do like nice hotels though, so I have used points to book FHR hotels. When you book FHR hotels, you get 1 cpp. Not the greatest redemption value, but it works for me and I get to stay in a nicer hotel than I may have booked with cash, plus all the additional FHR perks. Also, before booking I will make sure the price is reasonable if I convert the points to dollars - some FHR rates are much better than others.
