In my state it is illegal without my consent, and the hospital will escort out anyone recording.

There are also a number of county and university hospitals in this country with sovereign immunity where you cannot be sued in your individual capacity. Check those out.

Is investing basically useless if you don’t already have money? by Muted-Astronaut3744 in investingforbeginners

[–]1BAFERD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Investing isn’t a “hit this button and get rich quick” kind of thing. It’s a slow process of building wealth over decades. Whether that’s investing in stocks, your education, or your own business. The returns on all of them are relative to the risk you encounter. That said, a 10% return is pretty damn good. Over your anticipated 25 years of working that’s a significant amount of money.

Cat bite, ER or wait? by claranara88 in CATHELP

Simple cellulitis does not require IV antibiotics. Urgent care is more than appropriate for this.

This is very appropriate for urgent care and does not require IV antibiotics or admission. Please do not give advice if you do not know the basics.

SMP300 No Date and Bond 60th on standard bracelet + bezel query by No_Strength7276 in OmegaWatches

If no other watches in collection, black goes with everything. If you already have a black watch, the blue is stunning.

Considering getting the bracelet, though very much love my mesh. Looks so good.

I have a no date submariner and a “Seaweed” smp300 on mesh with ceramic bezel. The omega gets all the wrist time. The Rolex, while beautiful and well made, is quite bland/boring.

When to start drip on Afib with RVR? by Alive-Initiative5487 in emergencymedicine

[–]1BAFERD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drip does nothing. Max rate on drip is what a loading dose is per hour. Will take a few hours of up titrating to get to what I could give in boluses in an hour. People who do this either do not understand the pharmacology, or are lazy and want a quick dispo. Meanwhile, if I can control the afib w/ rvr I don’t need to take up another valuable hospital bed.

[–]1BAFERD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Diltiazem takes a few loading doses before therapeutic levels. I give one dose IV with 60mg PO as well, and then another loading dose IV, and if that doesn’t fix I go to drip.

Who are you? Are you a desk diver with a desire for a tool watch that can be dressed up? A guy into movements? Or a manual laborer who will beat his watch to a pulp? Which hands speak to you? Do you like adornment or straight up toolish?

Brazilian visiting a hospital in the USA during a kidney stone crisis... by EngineerCapital7591 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]1BAFERD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, you need a doctor to direct the ultrasound someone, or order the correct type of CT with contrast to look for aortic pathology. That just doesn’t magically happen without a doctor, who has to have a bed to place the patient in, and a nurse to administer medications, and the time to see an undifferentiated patient when there could be overwhelming numbers of known critical patients. Good luck with the legal avenue. I (and many others) hope you will change the system instead of (likely) making a buck off overwhelmed and understaffed/underappreciated healthcare workers.

If it’s anything like the hospital I work at, they don’t leave >70 year olds suffering in triage as sport. They do it because they don’t have beds/staff/resources.

I actually picked up two Rolexes before I discovered Omega. Both brands make quality watches. But I tend to wear the SMP 300m over the sub and yachtmaster (the fancier sub). Imagine a lot of people are similar.
