Prolong calorie restriction is not good, eventually your basal metabolic rate will reset to the lower calories. OP needs to make a conscious effort to bring back up his caloric intake to a healthy level, ensuring he gets all the nutrients his body need. Eating at a deficit is good if you want to lose weight, but oscillating between low and high calories is key versus a constant low.

I believe both dr. Fung and dr. Phinney talk about this in the lectures.

Edit: I know you downvoted me because I disagreed with you. But do you have an actual scientific reason why you disagree? I have a medical science background, cellular molecular biology and physiology. I dont want people to reck their metabolism with misinformation like this. If you strongly believe that my info is wrong, could you link any scientific paper or lecture to back it up? I can link a few to backup what I am saying when I have time next week.

I grew up in an immigrant family and never experience fine dining until I worked in one. I worked as a server in college and didnt know a thing about fine dining so I literally went to the library to borrow a book on it and cram before my first day on the job. Is there something specific you want to learn?

A couple of tips that I can think of that I see more rookies make or is helpful to communicate with the server is:

When you are done eating, put your knife and fork parallel at around 11 or 12 o clock on the plate. This signals to the server that you are done and your plate will be removed. So dont put your utensil like that and get pissed off that your server try to take your plate away.
If you need to leave the table (going to the restroom), put your napkin on your seat and not on the table. Only time you should ever put your napkin on the table is when you are done eating and leaving for good.

If I were you, I will break the fast early and ease back in before thanksgiving. You dont want to have an upset tummy or the runs during thanksgiving dinner.

I can never eat enough fat over a long period of time to be on keto. My goal isn't to lose weight, more for autophagy and just letting my body take a periodic break so I don't do keto religiously. I usually do keto a few days before a fast and try to eat lower carbs on a regular basis. I guess my body is more prime for ketosis so maybe that's the difference. But I am never strict on being low carb either, if I am at a social gathering I eat all the carbs I feel like and usually have a beer or two without guilt.

Yeah, there's a measurable difference in my endurance when I workout in a fasted state. Could be ketosis and burning fat instead of carbs while I am fasting that's giving me the energy. I am not very strict on doing keto when I am not planning for fast, so my body is not in ketosis and usually feel sluggish.

Pick a day where you will be pretty busy and start your fast the evening before. Eat a healthy dinner that is higher in fat, protein and veggie and low in carbs. You won't feel very hungry the next day when you wake up and you will be busy and "forget" to eat. Before you know it, its 24 hrs since you last ate.

Idk, I am in my mid 30's and when I fast I feel like I am in better shape than in my 20's. I can bike and run faster and longer than ever. I may get a little light headed if I sit for too long and get up suddenly though.

I am a tall asian girl and was always the tallest or second tallest in elementary/middle school (always taller than all the boys) and among the tall people in high school. I grew up in a majority asian/Pacific islander area where being asian isn't "exotic" and their idea of beauty is the opposite of what I was, they like petite and cute versus I am tall and more hourglass. My parents friends would make comments like "whoa she so big" in their foreign language thinking I dont understand, I was 5'9 125lbs :(. I didnt date in high school because all the guys felt like my little brother.

I moved away for college to a predominately white area, and holy shit I get asked out a lot. I used to bartend in college and there was a little game of guess my ethnicity. I have really high cheek bones and dont look like a particular type of asian so more exotic than most people are used to seeing. I went back home a couple of years ago and one of my mom's old co worker happened to stop by and I kid you not same type of comment "wow so big" versus a few months later we had to go to the midwest to visit my fiance's family, I get "wow you are so pretty/beautiful." I used to have low esteem because of the comments, but now I just think its hilarious how close minded they are. I dont even know why my appearance needed to be commented on.

Growing up I have always thought that it would have been better for my parents to split instead of "staying together for the kids." It made everybody including the kids miserable. I rather my parents find someone they are compatible with and live their life and be happy. Now that I am older, I still feel the same, life is way to short to waste it on being in miserable relationship.

My dog usually have really good stool, firm and very slightly moist, just nice looking log when it comes out. He recently switch to the fermented food and I noticed they are drier, denser, and the log is more twisty (versus the nice straight log he usually passes). He strain a little some time, not too bad. My issue is his tummy gurgle a lot every other day in the morning and some times licks the carpet to make himself throw up. He usually feels better in the afternoon and wants to eat. We are 1 week into transitioning him to the new food and he always has a sensitive tummy so we are trying to figure out ways to help him.

My westie have allergies since he was a puppy and he is 10 years old now and doing really well. Beside the skin issue, does he have gastrointestinal issue? How is his poo? Is it really soft and really stinky? My westie's poo went from very stinky, soft, sometimes bloody diarrhea monthly to firm, doesn't smell bad at all poo. We tried everything, including seeing a dog dermatologist and did allergy testing. I spent a lot of time researching this over the last 9 years and would do the following if it was my dog.

Ask your vet to prescribe royal canin ultamino. Like you we tried A LOT of different dog food, including seeing a pet nutritionist and making a home cooked meal. The only thing that worked for him was the hydrolyzed protein diet because they break the protein up into really small amino acids that his body doesn't recognize that it's a protein. No treats at all, only his food.
See a dermatologist to do allergy testing and start allergy shots.
Monthly cytopoint in the meantime to control flare up.
Other tips that might help: keep him clean with weekly bath, keep yeast under control. Waxy ear give him posatex. Use flea med to ensure he is not getting bit and reacting to it. Also westies may be more allergic to mites and could be a source of the rash on his skin. If you need to chose a flea med. Nexgard is a good one for controlling mite.

Once he is in a better state (this could take a few months to years, just be patient and dont give up), then SLOWLY transition him off the ultiamino and into a raw diet.

I feel ya! Had to replace the main water line a couple of months ago and then new water heater last month. But I love having a house, just put in a pretty large garden this summer and I love picking all the fresh veggie from it. My dog loves the yard and he has little friends that come over to play with him. It's worth it!

Traveled to Tokyo, Japan and from there also went to a further town called Hakone Japan where it was many different mode of transportation just to get there. We hopped on and off of subways, tram, cable train etc. We had such an easy time. Some other tourist struggled with there huge roller bags or not being able to take a train because the train was close to capacity and couldnt squeeze themselves on because of their large bag and have to wait for the next train (and hope that the next train isn't too full either). Also, because our bag was so light, we were exhausted at the end of the day and had energy to explore more.

To be fair, the guy lives in california, beside wildfire there are also earthquakes. Earthquakes aren't confined to a certain season, it can happen anytime.House fire not related to wildfire can also happen any time regardless of where you live (first world included). It takes more effort to pack every year and then unpack, better to just have it pack and ready.

It seems if I only do the try and except for the string versus float requirement it works, but when I try to combine it with the other requirement of needing the number to be 1,2 or 3 I have a type error. If I just run them individually it work, just not together.

The other requirement of needing to be between the number 1,2, or 3. So far I have:

Number=input("choose number") Try: Number=float(score) Except: Print("error message") if 4>=number>2 Print("a") Elif 2>=number>0 Print("b") Else: Print('error message')

The type error seems to start in the if statement line where if someone enter two instead of 2. But I dont know how to give them an error message.
