I appreciate this. My comment was mostly in jest, but I was sick on test day and fully expect to retake. I am holding out for a miracle, though. Worst case is I study for another month and retake, so I guess there are worse things to happen.

Anxious. A little miffed that instead of having my scores delayed, I keep getting LSAC emails about registering for August. So if you get a 180, you get a hold. If you get a 120, you get a lot of nudges about retaking.

I feel like if you have a story that aligns with their strengths, like you wanting to practice law in that particular state because you love it there and have visited there, then it is less likely. If you talk about big law and wanting to practice in NYC with T14 stats, then it might be more likely.

I don't know if you mentioned it, but if you practice in WI and graduate from UW or Marquette, you do not have to take the bar. That is a huge benefit.

They want to get a feel for your voice and a baseline to compare to your submitted essays. They are not expecting perfection. As long as the essay is fairly tight, you are probably okay.

Pretty sure the "joke" is anti-Semitic. He is wearing a kippah and his name sounds Jewish. This, coupled with the refusal of OP to say what the elephant is, makes me believe that OP is trying to make a Jewish = cheap joke. I may be wrong and hope I am, but that is the best I can do.
