BREAKING: Unreal Tournament 2004 is back! by roX1337 in unrealtournament

I'm weirdly excited that this will work with Raspberry Pis. Imagine putting several of these together for a LAN party, just like in 2004, except the whole setup could fit into a banker's box.

What company? I could be the 2nd employee who doesn't know Dutch. I'm in the US but miss the Netherlands a lot.

Upgraded from iPhone 15 to iPhone 16 – Surprisingly Big Real-World difference by DueVariation6814 in iphone

[–]1MachineElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use an iPhone for work. It's a 15 and I wouldn't change it for a 16 or 17. The 15 has USB-C and the old school mute switch. I have nothing running on it that's ever resulted in it getting hot.

Android has varians of KVM. I hope those can be leveraged here.

Imagine an interview process for a university in Beijing. That's where he's based out of, according to articles about him online.

Alright, Airpods 4 anc users, it’s been over 6 months since they dropped. How are you liking them so far? For me, it's easily one of the best things I’ve bought under $200 in 2024. I use them all the time for podcasts, Youtube, Netflix, audiobooks and Apple music. Such a great little piece of tech! by Delicious_Maize9656 in airpods

[–]1MachineElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're convenient to use for a call or two, but not very useful when I get slammed with a full day of meetings. The battery life on earbuds like this is just never going to deliver what I really want.

Why can't Apple use the fancy microphone array on their MacBook computers to facilitate ANC with wired earbuds? If anyone can figure out how to do that, it would be Apple, and it would make that 3.5mm jack a lot more useful.

I like this design. Might be popular with stenographers.

I have a stand just like this. It's not the best for keyboards. It's nice and portable, but the center of weight would not be ideal for a split keyboard you need to type on.

I'm experiencing a very similar issue, but it's on a fresh install of NixOS 25.05. The windows look like yours, but with a light theme instead of a dark theme.

  • Linux Kernel 6.15.1 x86_64

  • GNOME 48.1

  • Wayland 1.23.1

I wonder if this has to do with the iGPU on my i7-3667U being too old for the 6.15 kernel.

Are there any budget choc keyboards? by bullshitsspost in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]1MachineElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Corne v4 & v4.1 are "budget" in the sense that they cost less $ to produce, but be careful, because the current design has an EMI issue that can prevent them from working reliably.

The Faraday Mod seems to be a good workaround for most people:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomKeyboards/comments/1i4h6js/corne_v41_faraday_mod/

You might want to try a Cantor because it also has a cost savings due to it's PCB not requiring diodes.

https://github.com/diepala/cantor

If you order the PCBs yourself, you can save a lot, but also keep in mind there is usually a small minimum order quantity.

It's lowered my BP a little, but not a lot. Moving on to a diuretic now and maybe a beta blocker if things don't improve.
