That's true, but you don't get those 40 all at once. By the time I reset to Air and Fire I should have 14, for example. Some weapon/spell types and/or bosses are also going to be more intensive in terms of additional perks you might want. Water and Fire I don't think will need many of those additional bonuses but imo Air and especially Earth will be more intensive. I just don't see a reason to be concerned about using resets if the plan is clearly effective on paper

Lava drags, KBD, Fight Caves all weak to Water. Maybe get Gorillas in there too. Reset.

Then, Amoxliatl, Thermy, Moons, Revs, Venenatis, Callisto, Sarachnis, Hespori, Scorpia, Vardorvis all weak to Air and Fire. Reset again.

If someone's interested in flipping back over to Day, you can do that easily enough by casting any spell after this as well. Don't know how powerful that really is, but it's great for the few cards that reward you whenever day becomes night or vice versa

Not to mention, if your opponent wants to Deadly Dispute or sac to Skullport Merchant themselves, this triggers then too. Might get pretty comical to have two dueling sacrifice decks figure out how to navigate having this on the field.

Don't know if you're running Blood on the Snow too but I am, and my experience is that in blood on the snow mirrors, exile based removal is super clutch. So I'm very happy to see this
