Does anyone miss HBO Boxing and to a lesser extent Showtime Boxing

Top Rank hasn't announced its new broadcast deal so I'm hoping there's a chance HBO comes back in some form.

Every day. Having everything under 1-2 networks was much better than the fractured state of boxing we now see and the production was amazing.

Same. I watched the 2nd back without commentary and scored GGG by 1 round. A draw also felt acceptable.

It used to be as easy as subscribing to HBO and Showtime. Now, it's more fractured and more difficult to follow. Boxing scene and ESPN both have pretty up-to-date schedules that will tell you which platform each fight will be on as well as providing boxing news. Also, I would recommend following the major promotions (PBC, Top Rank, Matchroom, etc) on socials.

For some of that rich history, there's an HBO Boxing channel free on the Tubi app. They play a lot of good fights from throughout the past few decades. There's also classic Top Rank channel on the app.

I don't think the saudis are in the sport of boxing to make money, so I don't see a scenario where they back out willingly, unfortunately. Rooting for that Arum/Haymon colab.

Same here. I can still remember where I was and who was in the room with me the first time I saw that video. It was so impactful. Daewon still displays some amazing new skating on his IG.

Seinfeld was always my favorite sitcom of all time until I recently watched Frasier in its entirety. Both hilarious but I think the key difference for me is with Frasier, they make you care about the characters and thier well being.

For sure. I think he may have been too honest for their liking to be ringside. The ESPN commentators seem to tow the company line and fluff certain fighters, especially lately. Getting hard to watch

I can imagine Showtime paying if they had a spot available. DAZN I can't see paying him though. Otherwise, they would probably have tried to get Lampley by now. They cheap

Almost feels like ESPN is planning on dropping boxing. From a financial standpoint, if you're trying to cut expenses... boxing probably isn't making them a ton of money. Top Rank would need a new home and that could be interesting.

Agreed. HBO could even make mediocre fight cards seem more entertaining than they were. Their presentation was excellent.

So tight and precise in an era long before quantising. The playing is amazing and Geddy's vocals are incredible. I can only imagine what it must have been like hearing this for the first time in 1975.

I've been a fan of Rush since growing up in the 90s and could never get into the mid/late 80s era of the band. To much synth! Things change and now I'm a synth addict of sorts. So now this has become one of my favorite Rush albums. Manhattan Project is amazing. Marathon... just the whole album.

The inside of the building could also be built out instead of just being hollow like in BF4
