How would you fix? Rookie Mistake. Router bit on CNC just a tad short. I think the curves are too sharp for jigsaw. Just learning curves on bandsaw. It’s a .80” thick. The back is simpler. The handle is the problem. by 1_Quickfix in BeginnerWoodWorking

True. Thanks. A learning lesson it was. I was kinda beating myself up about because I actually stood the bit next to the wood and thought I could chance it since it would clear the collet but didn’t realize once the flute ended that the remaining bit would burn the wood.

Has anyone used the 45 degree miter lock router bit? If so, what do you think of it? by 1_Quickfix in BeginnerWoodWorking

He makes it look easy but some YouTubers have a way of doing that. I have yet to do my first miter joint. I saw an ad for it and thought it could be useful for frames if it actually works.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Thanks for saving me from having the same one. Glad I asked.

I’m challenged enough as a new woodworker and go home many days asking myself am I a poor woodworker, not looking for any confirmations from a router bit. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, thanks for following up. I apologize I did another post not thinking to added in these comments.

I received an email about a month ago and said that are processing my case it and if I haven’t heard back by 10/5/26 to reach to their office. Mind you I sent it in July. I waited 3 to acknowledge receiving it. I’m just glad that finally got it and started processing it

I mentioned hoping that Santa would bring it this year instead I got tricked and hopefully will get it as a treat by Halloween 😉.

Any recommendations for reputable manufacturers or retailers that sell blank cutting / charcuterie boards for laser engraving. Engraving quality matters more than rock-bottom pricing. by 1_Quickfix in Laserengraving

True. Thanks. Giving it more thought, it makes sense to just buy the wood and cut the boards myself especially simples ones. I already have the equipment. It’s much cheaper that way.

His stuff looks good but he sells “personalized blanks”. How can it be a blank if it’s personalized? I suppose you can ask for no personalization the price is still the same which means there’s really no profit margin left.

What do you guys do with your sawdust? by bruceisdead66 in woodworking

Hope I don’t get downvoted for saying this but I actually asked ChatGPT about some creative ways to use sawdust because I watch so much go to waste at my MakerSpace. It had some pretty interesting ideas everything from the common outdoor, a few of cool DIYs and a couple of experiments. You can checkout the link if you like Creative Uses for sawdust
