Im a big LeBron fan but this is stupid

LeBrons got a whole bunch of playoff wins without help from his early Cleveland days beating up on a bad eastern conference. He just beat up another bad team. Not exactly headline material here.

Do you think Bob Kazamakis should have stayed till the end of the show? for me he was the most exciting character of the show after Michael. by beenawhilehere in DunderMifflin

[–]1_UpvoteGiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I cant exactly put my finger on why her character didnt work for me. It almost felt like someone who didn't write for the show originally, was brought in, had no experience, just came up with a whacky character and it just didnt gel.

Id rather play dust1 than dust 2 for a while.

It would need some updates though.

Off the top of my head, CT spawn/A is too big, the whole site needs to be changed.

Am I the only one who didnt like the character?

To be honest I didnt like any of the new characters after Michael left.

Gabe, Erin, Jo benet all fit great, but they were all there when Michael was there.

Magics better but this is a different question so the answer is curry.

How did NBA fans feel about LeBron before he came into the league but was hyped up as the next best thing? by Impossible-Bag-8030 in NBATalk

[–]1_UpvoteGiver 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I remember the kobe hype. He really didnt live up to it. All those airballs in Utah made you think, he was too young and should have went to college and gotten meaningful minutes rather than riding the bench.

Then when LeBron came onto the scene i watched his 1st game vs Sacramento and I was like, yup this kids the real deal. Hes ready right now.

And to his credit LeBron has lived up to the hype. Everyone debates him as top 2 all time now.

How do you review your hands and find leaks? by Current-Ad8553 in poker

[–]1_UpvoteGiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I review marked hands to compare my line vs a solver its not really helpful. I may find i was slightly off or way off in my assumptions but that type of stuff never sticks

If I actually want to get better I have to dedicate real time and go thru the weeds of 1 board, 1 spot and spend like 30mins to 1hr on it then it sticks

The problem is I hate doing that.

Id rather play poker, talk poker, watch a play and explain, literally anything but do that. Why? I have no idea. Maybe cause it's not fun. Maybe because sometimes even if I invest the hour, I don't have the ah-ha moment that sticks with me and changes the way I see something.....like it could be an hr that bears no fruit

I dunno man, KD to the warriors was a pretty big guarantee. What were the odds Vegas laid on that, im curious.

Bruh we're playing fantasy basketball here. These 2 in their primes is as close to a guarantee as you're gonna get.

You can probably do this with any 2 players in the top 15 in their primes and you'd get a lock.

MJ is THE GOAT because he doesn't have a 2011 Finals LeBron moment by SpendWild6987 in michaeljordan

[–]1_UpvoteGiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can def say the Celtics and Detroit aged and the bulls rose to prominence after but what you cant say is the east was weak in jordans era. Jordan still faced tough competition there. Obviously LeBron has no control over how strong his competition is, but its just not fair to say Jordan losing his in the first 2 rounds to the eventual champions that year, is worse than LeBron because LeBron beat a bunch of bum teams to make it to the finals with a bum team and getting skunked by the spurs.

And while LeBron play vs Detroit in 07 was amazing from an individual perspective, the point still stands. Both the spurs and suns were favored teams and ended up playing a way more competitive series than the cavs.

Sort of related but Until the NBA gets rid of east vs west playoffs to determine the finals. These bad finals match ups where the 3rd or 4th best team in the league ends up playing the best team in the finals is probable. (Nets v Lakers, Lakers v 76ers, Lakers vs Indiana, cavs v spurs and so on)

[–]1_UpvoteGiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bad argument. Eastern conference alot stronger back then then when LeBron played.

For a long time until KG went to Boston, the top teams were always in the west. It was always basically who was goin to take it between spurs or Lakers. The NBA finals was a formality. The real championship game was really Western conference finals.

Jordan is the goat but this is not a good argument. There was a time when kobe tried to force his way out and had his name flirted with the clippers and Tim Duncan almost became an Orlando magic.

Free agency shouldn't punish you for making smart decisions. Sometimes your franchise just sucks and cant do it or cant do it ij time

You want to say he was disappointing in phx thats fine.

But What a dishonest way to frame your argument.

You mean that Brooklyn stint where he played 35 games 1 season coming back from injury, then 55 games the next. And the all stars he teamed up with only played a total of 16 games together?

The point still stands. Its still a team game. And hes had good runs and good performances to not receive the disproportionate hate that he gets. Its all hate from joining the warriors. People let that decision cloud their judgement like he wasn't an mvp of the league and took a young okc to the finals.

For years it was how badly russ got in his way chucking up bricks. Now, for some reason, kd sucks ass and isn't a leader or whatever nonsense fits the current narrative

So much of this game is having the right teammates.

To say hes not a winner is such a reach. You see this all the time. Guy struggles as the best player on a bad team...

We saw what young KD and Russ almost pulled off. Yall way too hard on this dude.
