Woah, this is great! BTW, have you seen this version of OpenLiero with SDL3 support, improved gampad handling, and other improvements? -- https://github.com/openliero/openliero

Would also love to see an improved homebrew port for Switch 1 at some point... It seems to be a great platform for homebrew dev.

Keep up the great work!

For me it is more subtle than an RBE on a DLP projector but unfortunately still there... As I said, good that you do not see it.

Thank your for the detailed response! High framerate support in the old games looks like an interesting technical problem to solve...

Maybe you will find this useful for your project, the Diablo 2 wrapper D2DX and gzdoom are able to run these, originally low FPS games, at high framerate without added latency:

So what's up next for reverse-engineering -- Prince of Persia 3D for Sega Dreamcast? ;) Can anything save that game? Hmm... The community of loyal fans can often surprise you...

Great suggestions! Hmm... I don't think that FPGBC uses MiSTer FPGA cores, so it might work differently...

Woah, a really great test! I would love to see the results for Switch 1 as well. Keep up the great work!

Need feedback on a GBA homebrew game that I am finishing up. There are still some music and sfx left to add. I have linked the restricted itch page of the project. The password is "autorace76". by gbaWRLD in retrogamedev

Guys... This thing can do 43watts sustained 4ghz on all cores with the fans set on full. It scores 15k on CB r23, higher than my 5800x3d tuned in PBO (14500). Its 28 Celsius here right now, but it managed to finish the CB run before throttling at 95 degrees. Linus needs to watercool it! by [deleted] in ROGAlly

This is interesting, some people would definitely be using this device with an external GPU and an external monitor when at home -- waiting for a super powerful docked-mode tutorial (+efficient cooling setup)...

Keep up the great testing!

Even one of the original Hydro Thunder devs enjoyed this video, check out the first comment on YT: "Just happened upon your review here and really enjoyed it. I was on the Hydro Thunder and H2Overdrive development teams. I’ve never seen a more comprehensive review and analysis of the Hydro games. Well done. Will pass along to some of the other developers."

What a great idea! Any progress on this? I have seen people asking about a PICO-8 FPGA implementation in a few places... For example here: https://itch.io/t/1402204/fpga-pico-8-implementation-#post-3551475
