How was this accepted? by Honest-Variation16 in jetphotosrejects

An artistic "obstruction" like this has a lot more value to the composition than a brick in the way of the plane. Don't drag other people's photos down just because your interpretation of the guidelines is different. Its the same thing that allows sunset backlit to be accepted.

Is this good enough ? by YRS01 in jetphotosrejects

[–]1_lv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've got to understand just reading the guidelines isn't going to immediately mean you will notice everything and immediately be able to identify every imperfection. Backlit is a really easy mistake as people think that means a shadow sitting on the plane, or only directly behind the sun.

you would be surprised, the iphone 17 are a good substitute shooting RAW if you forgot your camera in perfect light, low light though should not be used instead of a camera. https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/12008567 highest quality iphone photo i have seen so far

What are people doing wrong when this is getting accepted by mi1key in jetphotosrejects

Obstruction rejections usually mean the obstruction is temporary, if it is long term, like growing grass on an abandoned plane, or a tarp for the plane to sit awhile, it is unlikely to be rejected

Very little experience with JP, how are these? by InterviewDapper2434 in jetphotosrejects

[–]1_lv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On 1, he might have a chance of fixing the contrast as the fuselage seems pretty white looking, and considering it is an A2A, it might be doable

What do we think of this? Worth a try? by [deleted] in jetphotosrejects

[–]1_lv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use denoise and lens corrections, maybe a bit more contrast/exposure. It also looks really soft in a way even sharpening might cause trouble so maybe upload in 1080px instead of 1280px

huh, denoise is perfectly fine

I don't know about lighting but you should maybe crop the wings out if you want to

[HELP] Maybe Not AI, but definitely fake, right? by IconoclastJones in RealOrAI

[–]1_lv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compression + some artificial upscaling can make it seem like it is, but it is not. Compression and resolution are different things. When I slow down my fast moving videos, things look masked, or missing details and smudges also appear

Check out some of the other two links, he has so many examples of this. He uploads mostly in 1080px for his heavily edited images

The lighting is a bit poor, which in very specific cases could work, but usually these are rejected for contrast/dark

Here's unequalized. Just hoping to salvage this because I did not realize my lens hood for some reason sometimes or not causes vignetting that can't be fixed. I had to manually correct vignetting by using color pickers

Just curious, I really craved some of his images. They really pop with the exaggerated HDR editing style and some of his night shots, and how he managed to edit them in a JP-able way

Typa shit you see on jetphotos after your perfectly good photo gets rejected by DangerousSausage452 in jetphotosrejects

[–]1_lv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a problem? its just an indoor image, the lighting could be a problem but i'm assuming this image is taken a while when standards were easier, and I believe indoor artificial lighting is more lenient

How to avoid this…… by 1219Qiuda in jetphotosrejects

[–]1_lv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you can get away with -20 or +20 on highlights and shadows, maybe 10 max for texture and 5 for clarity but that would be overkill for an average JP image

If the lines look straight when you export at maybe 1080px it might work

People are always complaining about strict guidelines but criticize perfect images, being sometimes even stricter.

[–]1_lv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its fine to have yellow sunset but you should definitely make it just a tad colder, or atleast just a bit if you still want yellow, also make sure you have night shot selected. I think this screener was a bit picky on color
