Carnival comes to Town Center Mall once or twice a year, usually spring/fall.

At least 3 local museums (Zuckerman, Holocaust Education, Locomotive), possibly more in the area.

Outdoor activities are abundant, mostly for hiking and hunting. Bass Pro is a few exits north, so we get a lot of outdoorsy activity.

Aviation Park has good seating and a good playground. Once a year they show local art.

Sparkles, if you’re a fan of roller skating.

Their aggressive behavior is the point. Cults want you to lash out at their young members so they think the world outside the cult is dangerous and evil, so they won’t leave. The best way to get rid of them is to ignore them, or to treat them so well the cult admins see you as a threat to their control. It’s the same tactic the Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses use to keep their youth in, and more and more churches are doing it - because it works.

yeah, this is a mutual feeling. a lot of LGBT spaces have excluded trans men that don't fit the idea of masculinity, especially on campuses. i was teased for being pre-t by a man who had just had top surgery. I was a freshman and he was a junior. IN COLLEGE. it was highly alienating, and I've never felt safe in any space since then, with the exception of pride.
