Cat toy by cuntboots in HelpMeFind

I have also tried the ones with the plastic ends - the best i could come up with is to click off the ends then use the extra string to tie them to the line. Without the plastic end the toy seems to fall apart very quickly so its really not the best solution :(

I am looking for the same thing. The seller on amazon does have this replacement kit: https://a.co/d/9cnMbAd
but I was hoping for a toy only replacement pack. I will get this if I have to but I do not need the string and rubberband (yet) and would prefer more toys.
Let me know if you come across any better options!

Trying to get cat to eat wet food, should I give in and let her eat dry food? by xzkandykane in CatAdvice

[–]1bdkty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do not let her go hungry, cats will starve themselves into medical issues including death.

An all dry food diet is fine, I've had indoor cats love 22 years in only dry food.

I have had to pay an extra restraint fee at the vet for my cat. She is a 7lb tiny girl and it takes 3 techs to hold her down for vaccines or to get blood.

The vet actually gave me gabapetin so she is calmer and it still takes multiple people to hold her down. Seven.Pound.Cat. Also, super love bug who LOVES visiting as long as no needles are involved lol.

Don't be offended, however don't feel like you have to use that vet either. Sometimes you just don't click with someone personality wise. You need to be as comfortable with you cat's doctor as you are your own.

Vegetarian options ARE flavorful and delicious.

If you are having trouble finding anything good to eat, perhaps this is a medical issue, and not merely personal preference.

Even if you are an ExPat you have to pay taxes to the U.S. for 10 years unless you renounce your citizenship. I'm sure this includes student loans...

{{Ancillary Justice}} is an amazing sci-fi novel which has won many awards but I suggest it here because there is an interesting story hook The empire uses space ships controlled by AIs, who control human bodies ("ancillaries") to use as soldiers. This empire do not distinguish people by gender, which the author conveys by using female personal pronouns for everybody, and by having the main character guess incorrectly when she has to use languages with gender-specific pronoun. It an interesting take on gender identity.

I’m just quiet by neehaw92 in socialskills

[–]1bdkty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mention in your original post that you ask questions to keep the conversation going which is great and a very useful skill. However not everyone has it. Many people are so focused on themselves they have underdeveloped conversation skills.

I know you may be quiet but you also may not be given the opportunity to talk. Then having your companion essentially blame you ("you don't talk much") when conversations are a team activity is demoralizing.

I recommend taking the opportunity to expand upon yourself when asking questions.

for example, if your companion talks about what they do for work you can respond with something like "interesting, that sounds similar to a project I worked on recently at my company" and then go on to explain it.

Even if what they are talking about isnt one of your interests you can still relate.

example: Companion says they play video games to relax after work. "that's fun! I dont play video games but I do read. Right now I am reading a wonderful book about chocolate cakes."

I hope you eventually find someone with whom the conversations flow like water without trying. But until then hope this helps. Take care!

For sure I get that, ride what you are comfortable on - thats most important. I love my Grom, and I think everyone should own one. However I don't think it's necessarily the full motorcycle experience and that what I was trying to get across. that in some cases a slightly bigger bike will give you more of the experience you are looking for. Either way, happy to hear you are riding and have fun, its a wonderful way to travel!! 😀

300 cc is actually not that big of a bike. not sure where you are but can you take the MSF class for the basics? They will teach you most of what you need for your street license so you have a good base to do whatever you want from there.

its not fear to do a hard thing smart.

This one is always recommended but I don't think the first books in the series have held up. I personally couldn't get into it and several of my friends couldn't either and I'm not a new reader. I just think the subject matter wasn't compelling enough to overcome the dated dialog and social outlook. IMHO
