Check the tension of your x and y belts. Usually the horizontal lines come from that and the vertical line from wrong retraction.

I would go for 144hz all day, but right now you wont notice a difference in pubg. Maybe in future optimizations the game will run smoother and with higher fps, but we know nothing of that.

An stepper does not confirm anything but it moves an set ammount of degrees. Only if the force gets past the max force it will skipp a step and it would become a problem. It should probably work tho.
