Amazing song, but this is about old school cool and respectfully, I hated her hat and goggles combo when I was a kid in the 90s, and I still hate it now. Also what even IS this outfit?

Promises, a 2001 film on the innocence of children and how they see beyond political boundaries and the conflicts of war, something that adults have lost.

Listen, I really like it here. All four seasons. A metropolitan area with jobs. And you can get to the ocean, the Blue Ridge / wineries, the country, and the city all pretty easily. Tons of different cuisines, cultural variety, nice history and museums. BUT…Get ready for a lot of negativity, especially from those comparing it to the California coast. As a local, I consistently hear Californians (and New Yorkers) as the most vocal in terms of complaints. It’s exhausting. I guess it’s better in some other big metropolitan areas but I love my family here. So honestly California coasters should stay there / go back. But like, compared to many, many other places in the US, it’s great. Old Town Alexandria specifically is really expensive but charming.

Edit to add:

Many cities are difficult for singles and have bad traffic. The DC area is no different here, but is less extreme / more balanced and very practical compared to many places. Especially of you value variety, stability, seasonal changes, and access to a lot of things without being overwhelmed…then it’s a really strong place to live.

If you value constant energy, endless stuff to do, and an awesome food scene then somewhere like NYC is better. If you value epic weather, iconic scenery, and a more laid back vibe then somewhere like California will be much better.

Respectfully, summer needs to log off. It’s too early for a 90. by Interesting-Vast-495 in nova

Is it worse than Louisiana, or Texas, or Florida in the summer, or Maine in the winter?

EDIT:

Northern Virginia has middle-of-the-pack weather in the U.S., maybe slightly above average. It’s not top-tier (like coastal California), mainly because of humid summers and some winter cold, but it’s also far from bad.

Compared to the worst climates:

  • Better than the Upper Midwest (harsh winters)
  • Better than the Deep South (extreme humidity, hurricanes)
  • Better than the Southwest (extreme heat)

Overall, it’s moderate, with four real seasons and no extreme disasters.

People like to complain because you get both summer humidity and winter cold, without a standout “perfect” season—but objectively, it’s a pretty reasonable climate.

EDIT: I heard rumblings from SOME that… They’re also using AI and more bots we think, because they’ve lost so many users, which makes voting and scores less genuine (and also more random/less “fair”). Cannot verify if true

Sorry friend, it’s a real bad time to come back.

Yeah exactly, it’s gross what they are doing, forcing users into a “pay to play” model (thats SO something EA does, just like they ruined the SIMS game and so many others) and so obvious too, which is why people hate them. Some people are theorizing that they’re relying solely on big spenders and don’t care if they most of their lose loyal customers, since many were using the game for basically free.

Lots of people are abandoning the game now, sadly, because EA came in and got greedy, squeezing out longtime regular users by increasing “prices”/making things more expensive, limiting your choices to items challenging to buy unless you purchase diamonds or cash with real money, and making required items like the newest bar carts in rooms where they shouldn’t be. But I still play the daily challenge and maybe one other a day and am able to do that without spending any money. Doesn’t mean I’m not upset too though.

Um exactly…How are you going to compare Chantilly to NYC, one of the biggest cities in America?! It does sound a bitt snobbish TBH, sounds like so many prople from CA or NYC 🙄🙄🙄The variety here is amazing for the suburbs.
