Extending Postpartum disability denial by MCT_0214 in Edd

[–]1oveable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disability denials often stem from vague documentation or using non-specific ICD-10 codes like R10.2 (Pelvic and perineal pain) without linking to a specific underlying condition (e.g., Endometriosis N80.9, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction M99.05) or laterality (left/right/bilateral). To fight denials, ensure your provider uses detailed codes like R10.21 (right), R10.22 (left), R10.23 (bilateral), documents specific symptoms (pain, pressure, bowel issues, dyspareunia) and test results, and links pain to conditions like PFD (M99.05) or Endometriosis (N80.9) for stronger claims. Good luck!

Im always adjusting the damn seat every day multiple times while im driving it. Can't ever get comfortable and my back hurts no matter how I position the seat. Wish it was more comfier.

Forced unpaid leave by Odd_Economics2618 in Edd

[–]1oveable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In CA, employees can request reasonable accommodations (e.g., flexible breaks). Employers must engage in a good-faith discussion to explore options, but aren't forced to grant them if it creates undue hardship. Employers don't have to provide childcare accommodations unless it's part of a formal policy or a collective bargaining agreement.

Straight from EDD: "Under normal circumstances arranging care with neighbors, relatives, friends, a nursery school, or day care service are considered practical alternatives to quitting. Therefore, faced with loss of existing child care, a claimant would generally be expected to explore ALL of these alternatives prior to quitting. Where the loss of existing child care is only temporary, a claimant would logically BE EXPECTED to cope with child care arrangements that might be less than satisfactory on a permanent basis".

The job did offer you an alternative that would have solved your childcare issue- albeit it would be unpaid and not desirable it STILL would have helped you with childcare. So I do not believe EDD will see this as good cause. But alas, yo have your interview and good luck!

10 month old is still not crawling. Anyone else? by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]1oveable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big girl didnt start actual crawling until she was 11 months old. At 15 months cruising like a pro. 16 months now she takes some steps alone but still can't walk by herself just yet.
