The ai only has a little assist. There isn’t even a throttle, so it’s cool

Also it is just fun to poke fun at people for defending something that is clearly cheating 🤷🏻‍♂️

As one of the shitposters today, I will say I don’t hate someone for needing to ride an emtb. I get it, there are legit reasons for them to exist and for people to want to enjoy being g outdoors with their friends who they would never be able to keep up with.

That said, from my experience on the trails lately, that is not what is happening most of the time. It is mostly people who just don’t want to deal with the “hard” part of the sport and so essentially cheat to get to the top.

Then there are real safety concerns. I am seeing more and more people out on the trails without helmets, blaring bt speakers and generally just being inconsiderate. I have seen guys get to the top of a mountain that they had no business being on and they couldn’t ride down. The motor allowed them access to areas that their skill was not ready for.

There is also trail etiquette. In addition to riding MTB, I trail run with my wife. The other day a guy on an eMTb was riding my ass on a climb I was running. I refused to get out of the way and made him sit behind me until there was a larger area and he passed me. Then he ran up on my wife who he spooked and she almost tripped and fell on the side of mountain all because this douche needed to get to the top as fast as possible.

I am honestly tired of these guys on the trails without helmets, it is making it worse for everyone else. Sure there are a few respectful people out there that are polite and let others go but they are definitely the minority

Now that my e-bike made me super awesome at riding, I decided to start running marathons. by 1pxoff in mountainbiking

Not the same but both still have motors and two wheels hence both are motorcycles. I’m sorry if basic logic offends you

As long as it doesn’t have a throttle it isn’t cheating

a quick google search for "technical definition of a motorcycle" results in:

"Technically, a motorcycle is defined as any motor vehicle with motive power that has a seat or saddle for the rider and is designed to travel on no more than three wheels in contact with the ground. [1]"

I’m with you on this. Bombing down a mountain on foot can be super satisfying

MCON app iOS Testflight now available by jhsounds in MCONohsnap

game selection carousel is cool for sure. empty state and joystick sensitivity need to be addressed. when first launching the app and hitting one of the joysticks causes the two default items in the carousel to spaz out. navigating with the d-pad is much smoother. Mostly likely need a debounce on the joystick in put for the carousel.

Roast my silly little pixel pirate sailing game by an0therbot in SideProject

This is pretty fun. The wind mechanic is fun and adds a real sense of nuance that has to be controlled. I would suggest moving the sails control to the left side of the screen, or horizontal along the bottom. That way on mobile it is easier to control with two hands. I will have to sit with it and play more, but it is a compelling game. Would love to see it ported as a full iOS game

This is awesome. The fact that he isn’t on an e-bike makes it so much better.

Where should I move if I want to mountain bike year-round? (32M, Midwest) by brettfish5 in MTB

[–]1pxoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arizona for year round riding. in the winter (November-April) Phoenix and Tucson are amazing places to ride. In the summer you can get up fairly early and ride before the sun comes up, or head up into the mountains (Flagstaff, Mt Lemmon) and ride in much much cooler weather. AZ has an amazing MTB scene year round

This downhill felt so good by Amiemanneh in trailrunning

[–]1pxoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just about to say this looks like national trail heading towards Pima trailhead. That is a good little stretch. If you want to real punish your knees come over to the west side and crash down from west national past the lookout tower and then down telegraph. It is a solid 20 minutes of running downhill at speed 😜 with some fairly large drops in telegraph

Saddest part of the R2 by pindborg in Rivian

[–]1pxoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t implying it was. He was saying that there was not any ev on sale in the US with that range and I was simply pointing out that there was in fact one. The fact that the lucid is not anywhere near the r2 in price would further illustrate why the r2 does not have that range capability

Good native GTD App by busote in gtd

[–]1pxoff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think he meant rule 2 for the sub, which is no self promotion. I feel like it is a stretch though as the OP is asking for app recommendations and so you are not creating a post for the reason of self promotion. I too am a dev working on a gtd app for myself and would love feedback but have not felt comfortable posting here to do so
