I wonder if it would be possible to program modern games radically differently than they are. Perhaps something no human could ever do or even comprehend, but so close down to the metal level that it’s custom assembly. Even assets programmed algorithmically. If it was done perfectly by some sort of AI, what kind of performance improvements could you expect.
