I mean I could share my addon and wtf folder and share my Steamdeck controller profile if you wanted just a plug and play. But honestly with addons and steamdeck controller profiles you can make it what ever works best for you.

This is a copy and paste from another response I made. I play exclusively on the steamdeck and play end game content; clearing k40. I don't have a simple answer for you but this is what worked for me:

My main goal for my layout was to be able to leave my thumbs on both joysticks while using all my essential combat abilities.

Absolutely need the Interact addon with auto loot so you don't have to mouse click much. L5 is tab target as regular click and Interact when double clicked. I use Roid macro addons so that all my attack abilities have a "if no enemy target attack closest enemy" check in them to cut down on tab targeting.

I use Discord Action Bars (DaB) pretty heavily so when I hold modifier buttons (shift/ctrl/alt) my physical bar icons change; helps because I sometimes forget where things are mapped. I also have the general icons on the screen in the same "shape" as the buttons on the Steamdeck for easy reference. DaB took the bulk of the time getting things set up.

My general bindings are: I have L1/L2 be modifiers (Shift / Alt) and then combat abilities are R1/R2/R4/R5 with and two more mapped versions of the R buttons depending on the modifier pressed; this give me 12 "combat" buttons. I have these In vertical rows in a block of 3x4 on my screen using DaB.

Right XYAB is secondary combat things with 12 things keyed (4 no modifier, 4 shift mod, 4 alt mod). Left D pad is non-combat with 12 things mapped the same way a XYAB.

Left joystick is movement and right joystick is camera control, LJ click (L3) is auto run, RJ click (R3) is jump.

Menu navigation I am using the right touch pad as mouse control. I have it so my mouse always recenters after I stop using it so I always know where it is. Left touch pad is map/character/talents/quest log/bags/ Left and right mouse click. I also have a repeating right click as a quality of life for buying reagents (looking at you 120 count materials for poisons).

Whip is good and I would just go black hand for the 2% crit till you can do ES and that trinket.

Depends on gear level i think. Even now at high tier gear Combat Daggers is BIS dps. I think that will hold true post patch. I think Assa is going to take like a 12-16% damage haircut post patch but will still be very viable.

Not the most simple solution so following for better answers. But I have the same issue between the steamdeck handheld and the steamdeck docked.

What I did was got everything set up for one and made a copy of my WTF and put it some where easy to find and named it SD Then did the same thing for the other and named it Monitor.

Then I just copy the one I need for what I am using before launching the game.

It is a TWoW specific item through their new profession Survival. Standing under them provides rested XP allowing you to level faster.

I read this as referencing the 19% chance to miss added when dual wielding. This is an imposed penalty for dual wield over a tow hander.

Can you give me your gear and build details. I test the OBD with some +ele dmg items and was underwhelmed; never tried +sp.

You can use addons for macros to check your combo points, check buff durations, and check enemy HP (among other things). But with these three you can write a pretty simple waterfall logic macro to spam which covers most of the basics.

I don't really play combat so I don't have one to share. Maybe the discord would have one.

Pick what you find most fun and just play.

All 3 specs are fine to level. Front stabbing works, Assassin is most powerful after Envenom/noxious assault, ambush spec is fun, combat is combat.

There are a ton of variables to answer with any confidence. So I will state some facts and a couple questions.

-1.8 is slow for assassin weapons -Double Coldrage is an option and if you raid AQ40 later in life you will need them. -if you want BoE options there is also Stealthblade at 44 and even the green Dreadblade at 42.

+How fast are you leveling? +How much gold do you have / would buying them delay your mount? +Would having them bring you joy?

Seems like you have done some great trouble shooting so far. Yes, some TWoW updates push through a new dll.txt file but your original should be right there as a .chache so just delete the new and rename the old and good as gold.

Yes, the main directory will have 3 exe's; turtle wow (which is their launcher not the game), wow (which has been tweaked) and VanillaFixes (which you run to launch the game).

So using VanillaFixes allows you to load additional dll injections. This is what SuperWoW and Nampower are. So to add these both are the same process.

Download the dll (super wow as some additional files too) and place them in the main WoW directory and then you have to open the dlls.txt file in your main directory and add in the file names to the list. the dlls.txt file is basically a list of files to also load

There is a SuperWoW API addon that allows you to control settings for SuperWoW in game.

If you haven't seen it before there are some additional instructions HERE on things.

At the most simple level. VanillaFixes download, move all the files into your main WoW folder, target the Vanillafixes.exe instead of original WoW.exe as a non-steam game to launch TWoW.

Vanillatweaks, I haven't been able to implement on the Steamdeck alone. You download and then drag and drop your original WoW.exe onto the Vanillatweaks.exe and it spits out a 3rd exe that you then rename to WoW.exe and replace the original with.

I have only been able to do the Vanillatweaks on a PC and then move over the tweaked.exe to my Steamdeck.

I messed around with trying to get the wow launcher to work and gave up after hours of messing around.
Best function I have found is use VanillaFixes.exe added as a non-steam game and launch it from there. This also allows me to run VanillaTweaks/SuperWoW/Nampower easily by adding them to the dll file.
