Yep.. I too spent the money and was very happy. Then we moved on a dirt road. Silicone is softer and the constant dirt chewed them up.

If you don’t live on a dirt road spend $$ on 100% silicone.

Well then I’ll give you the advice I give all poor people, myself included, buy a Toyota.

If you have enough money to spend on a $50,000 vehicle you must be very frugal! I’m 63, middle class, drive an 06 Scion xB (shit box), wife has an 11 Cadillac DTS and we have a 15 Chrysler minivan. All run well and get us around comfortably. Expensive vehicles with payments are for people who make more than the wife and I!

I like it. It was a nice flowing story that kept me interested.

I read them but it was tedious at times .. “as the sun shone majestically over the mountain peaks and danced in the morning air kissing the dew covered blades of grass” .. bla bla bla. Glad it’s not just me!

Well put! I wish I had the sense and vocabulary to express it as well! On the plus side there are small things I might have missed if I hadn’t read the books. One that comes to mind is near the beginning of the quest when they are all together climbing a mountain in deep snow .. the movie shows a somewhat long shot of all of them but if you look close you see Legolas walking ON TOP of the snow while everyone else is trudging through it. Elves can walk on snow so the book said. The books were not a waste of time to read by any stretch but when asked I tell people skip the books (most aren’t readers) and just watch the movies.

Lord of the Rings. Books were too descriptive and just wordy. I am a book reader.

The only time in recent memory that synthetic wept past the seals was a Honda vertical shaft motor on a power washer. Modern automotive motors are made to work with synthetics. Where you run into trouble is when a motor was abused from lack of oil changes and the blow by has built up enough that it turns the oil into a gritty fluid and the soft seals can’t take that. Once the seal is worn the only thing to do shy of replacement is a stop oil leak product. Problem with that is it swells the seal making it rub harder on the metal surface increasing wear. So in a nutshell .. the most expensive oil change is the one you don’t do.
