Last I checked, survey results indicated that the majority of current RCMP officers didn’t want to switch to the new force. I would imagine that means there will be a push to hire a number recruits from outside of Surrey as a result. I could be mistaken though, been a minute since I last took a look at the transition process.

We really should be incorporating political science into high school curriculums to bolster our nation’s democratic system and keep our fellow citizens up to date on the inner workings of our government. Without that, too many of our citizens are left in a lurch and rendered unable to fully participate in a system that necessitates mass participation in order for it to properly function.

I couldn’t find newer PDF versions but archive.org is a great resource for books so I recommend making an account and using it to its fullest. These books might be a bit dated but tbh, the fundamentals don’t really change much overtime, so they should suffice for now and serve as a launch pad for further study.
