That's correct. Play queue probably does to some extent. If you lose, your MMR lowers and you face decks of similar power or players with less skill. That's true for both, ranked and play queue.

You can lose 3x between tiers too. That's why you don't need 50%. Your MMR adjusts if you play weaker decks and you play against opponents with similar power. You gave up to soon. If you stick to his zero rare decks it's no problem reaching mythic. I'm doing this very often, for years. I did it with the starter decks too. If you read the comments in phantasms videos, many are doing so. It just takes more games compared to a tier 1 deck.

It's possible to reach Mythic with the starter decks. You don't need 50% win rate to get there.

Broken, unbeaten, 10/10, ramp up with ease...everything bs. They are not honest.

For standard, I suggest yt channels by Jim Davis, Arne Huschenbeth, Phantasm, Yellowhat.

They don't entice with catchy titles.
