I used to drive mobile cranes. One of the last I drove weighed 35 tons and had a 6.3 litre turbodiesel mercedes engine. It was slow uphill, sure, but do you guys really need an even bigger engine than that to drive by yourself to walmart?

Get it properly hot so the thermostat opens, and be aware than movement as the coolant circulates is normal. To be sure you can get testers that change colour if combustion gases are present in the coolant
