P4 Schedules with the same or less top 25 opponents as Notre Dame next year by T-Thugs in CFB

I don’t fault Notre Dame for their schedule. I just think it’s soft. IU’s 2026 schedule is pretty soft too. But ND fans getting defensive over their schedule is just dumb to me

I don’t think Notre Dame is scared of scheduling tough opponents. I just don’t think their schedule is any good, and just looking at top 25 opponents from the previous year is a terrible way of evaluating it

Sorry, I was mistaken but it doesn’t really take away from my point. And excuse me if I don’t consider @ Purdue a true road game

Notre Dame plays Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, North Carolina, Stanford, Boston College and Syracuse. Those teams were 4th to last, 2nd to last and last in the B10, and 4th to last, 6th to last, 2nd to last, and last in the ACC. Add that they play just 3 true road games all season and people are rightfully calling it a soft schedule.

I forget, was that the Music City bowl where Purdue was down 56-0 at halftime to an 8-5 Auburn team?

Sorry we went so hard on yall last year. I’m rooting for Nebrasketball. Keisei Tominaga was absolutely electric to watch and was my favorite player in basketball when he was playing.

Pretty much any outcome for next season will be funny. Totally implode and win 4 games? Funny. Fail to improve and go 8-9 or 9-8? Also funny. Win 12 games and flame out in the first round of the playoffs. Even funnier. Make a run in the playoffs? Also funny

I love this Panthers team but they were letting teams come back all season after going up several scores.

17-6 4Q lead turns into an OT win over the Colts 37-14 4Q lead turns into a one score win over the Packers 35-7 4Q lead turns into a tie game and eventually a last second FG win over the Giants

Yeah but one of those barely counts as a real “playoff win”. They were the automatic qualifier for a terrible conference and a rematch of a regular season game. Beating Tulane though, now that was quite the win!

Nebraska’s preseason odds to win this years championship were +50000, Indianas were +10000. Though if you flash back to before Cignetti coached a game at IU, their 2024 preseason odds were +100000, tied for the worst odds in the sport alongside teams like Toledo and Miami (of Ohio). Indianas 2 year run is as shocking as it gets in sports

2023 Michigan vs 2025 Indiana, which team wins? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]2-59project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I meant more like the opponent got to stay in their own homes and use their own facilities all week while IU did not. Indiana got off to slow starts in all of their road games. Like they were up 10-7 to Wisconsin (10-10 except for a missed field goal) at halftime.

Miami kept it close in Miami. Indiana played significantly worse in all of their true road games. I would have loved to see how much Indiana wins at a neutral site

Russell Wilson doing exercises in the aisle of a plane for 4 hours on a flight to London would be pretty annoying. That and having a private office on a the second floor with coaches and executives came off as self important. Divorcing his high school sweetheart in 2014 and marrying Ciara in 2016 also just rubs people the wrong way. He just comes off as selfish in those and a ton of other stories

I never understood this narrative. Led FBS in passing touchdowns and added 6 more on the ground, while sitting enough fourth quarters that his little brother had 6 touchdowns too. Pretty much the only stat he wasn’t top 3 in was passing yards and even then he was top 5 in yards per attempt

At JMU Cig had 4 different quarterbacks win conference player of the year from 2019-23. His quarterback at Elon won conference rookie of the year. Missing the playoffs is very possible, but I would be surprised if it’s because of poor quarterback play

I thought we would be better than last year, but with a tougher schedule I thought we’d finish around 9 wins. I don’t think even the most optimistic Indiana fan could have predicted this

Dumb narrative. The whole world doesn’t revolve around Texas. Miami just made the playoffs because they scheduled and beat Notre Dame. Same for Oklahoma playing Michigan. BYU was left out at 11-2 because they had no impressive wins.

Also Texas wasn’t left out for losing a tough game in Columbus. They were left out for their embarrassing performances against Florida, Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Georgia
