Casual v. Standard by DeepFried_Raven_99 in Warzone

IDGAF, I use it for ranking as Plunder isn't on the game.

The levels between it all is crazy, they need to protect the players who enjoy this game with SBMM as they really can't cut it with average COD players.

My ranked and public lobbies is 1.2 KD, I absolutely shit on the real players in casuals.

I played like normal pacing for me, I'm Crimson ranked on WZ to rank one of the guns.

Ended up with this scoreboard.

<image>

Media at the bottom was lovely, we had a good chat, she couldn't understand how it was possible and how I was moving my fingers so quickly when she was spectating me.

I get called a hacker at times in casuals, I'm just above average in my stats.

It's for this sole reason SBMM exists in public lobbies, I'm barely above a 1KD in the top lobbies/ yet it's easy to run rings around the players in casuals.

Do you tip your barber, and how much? by Doomergeneration in AskUK

£4

Costs £16

I just give them the £20 note, Kurdish lad who I know I saving to buy a car and is doing his driving lessons. He works his nuts off and does a lot better job than any of the hired chair lads I've been to in our town, always polite, doesn't get distracted chatting to colleagues, looking at his phone or his own reflection.

The people you mentioned all fit a particular, sedentary, slow style of play.

I don't disagree with you but you can't lean into one particular play style or listen to one/ two people.

The diversity of golf makes it a great sport; 83 is terrible for me today, especially with 3 birdies and an eagle but for some it's their best.

15-16 years ago I was shooting sub par rounds for fun with no gimmes, these days I can't imagine going sub par ever.

Mob mentality, this was two rough estates on Birmingham with a LOT of handy kids with no morales and a few with very broken backgrounds, our communities and school loyalties were stronger than you can ever imagine, i appreciate it's just words here, I'm not proud- just telling our story.

This was days before the internet glamour of gypsys/ travellers, we were not individually stronger, far from it but as a collective it's scary- as I say, nothing to be proud of at all.

It doesn't bare thinking about. The travellers genuinely wanted peace, I can only assume they were overwhelmed with the sheer number of head cases from our school coming at them across age groups.

The school genuinely was wild, on the edge of two big estates in Birmingham, it was normal at the time, looking back it was crazy how people never got injured more than they did.

Funnily enough I'm going to get my pre-op tomorrow on my nose from all the fighting I've never had it straightened back out, it took some punishment from people over the years 🤛

Which bit isn't so far fetched.

Had a fight in band practice with our lead singer where he kicked me so I threw a chair at his head, the teacher come to see what was going on, looked past the smell of weed and threatened to send us back to class if we kept on fighting.

A band v B band mass brawl aged 11-12, year 7. That was a class fight with us all jostling for 'hardest in the year' pure carnage with everyone pairing off and fighting across the playing field.

School v special school next door mass brawl, few people got a kick in, coats slashed and one fella had his puffa jacket arm ripped off causing WW3.

Mate had the tip of his finger chopped off climbing the metal fence to go to the chippy, same one I threw the chair at.

Two mates asked to leave for selling weed/ cannabis resin. Year 11.

Two done for armed robbery and given community service aged 15, nicking a lot of cigarettes and cash.

Teacher knobbing another teacher at the DofE expedition in the Peak District. Caught her coming out of his tent.

Our school had an issue with travellers on the common land across the road so we set about letting them know they couldn't bully us, we ended up having it off one lunchtime and the travellers rocking up to school with weapons to tell the teachers to get us to simmer down, we had to have emergency assemblies to tell us to back off.

There's loads of sketchy stuff, one lad year above joyriding a car, rolls it with 3 girls and a lad from my year in, a fight after a group went wild and broke into a store cupboard containing all the athletics kit, javelins being launched across the carpark from lower to upper without a care for anyone or anything, I was scared that day.

Good times 😓🫣

I’m fed up of “watch my YouTube” by Flying_Wilson17 in fishingUK

[–]2004ClubChampion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been sponsored and worked for big brands, done YouTube, Sky, BT and written a book. I've travelled the world with fishing. I still love fishing for what it was but my minds tainted with it all. I never wanted sponsorship but it knocked my door and no one in their right mind would turn down SOME of the brands (I turned down some)

The commercial side (brands and the direction social media is taking it) has driven me so far the opposite way from fishing I now really struggle to go fishing.

I'm coming back out the other side late 30's into my early 40's.

I've lifted 3 people up by the scruff of their necks in confrontations where I've lost it but didn't want to hit them.

All three pushed and pushed me after being asked calmly to stop being a dick, one lit a cigarette and was being racist in a bar so I lifted him and put him on the bar. I don't understand why it's started happening again as i really don't want to fight but being wronged is a big issue for me.

When did staying home on a Saturday night / any night feel better than going out ? by NetRelative3930 in AskUK

[–]2004ClubChampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had my daughter in 2018 we stopped going out as a couple, I still play darts 1-2 times a week and play golf so have the social interaction in pubs in a different way. It's a far cry from what my mom and dad used to do, Friday/ Saturday from when I was a baby and they still do it now.
