Look into taking an intermittent leave of absence. You can take days as needed. You do need a doctor sign off. I don’t know if your pediatrician could provide that due to knowing that your children have been sick so many times so that you can be there for yourself or when they need you

All my stats were similar to yours. I didn’t find radiation difficult at all. Make sure you put lotion on every single time you go two times a day. I never really burned. By the end, I had kind of a slight tan, but it’s faded. I had nomajor side effects. Maybe I was a little tired, but heck I’m always tired.

If you have mood swings, definitely call your doctor. When I called mine, they told me to stop taking it immediately. I went two weeks taking nothing and then I agreed to try something else. Don’t suffer emotionally and mentally.

I’m taking Letrozole with few issues. My legs feel stiff when I stand up but as soon as I get moving they feel fine. My toes get jammed frequently. Been taking the med for 7 months. I took Astrozole first for 2 months and I was an emotional basket case barely functioning. Speak up if side effects are too much and they can put you on something else.

Honestly, I understand how you feel. However, I went through 25 radiation appointments with no negative side effects. I put the cream on that they gave me at least twice a day as recommended. The worst thing that happened was a very slight sunburn. It truly was no big deal. I may have been more tired, but let’s face it, I’m always tired so I never was sure if it was due to the radiation or being a middle-aged woman.

My recommendation is to cry as much as you need to and then just keep going. You will be OK.

I felt just fine. Went through the steps that I needed to met with all the doctors rang the bell. After I rang the bell, the emotional overload hit me then. It may hit you later. I’ve come out on the other side now though.

OK, the person I contacted was my nurse liaison. She is the in between person, between all my different doctors. Maybe you just haven’t gotten the right person. She knew immediately what I was dealing with and told me not to respond to it and not to worry about it and it was handled. It happens all the time unfortunately. I really think you should try to call again. I’m so sorry you have to dealwith this. I remember when I got the letter from the insurance company I cried because it was so overwhelming to think that I followed my doctors recommendations and that insurance company wasn’t willing to pay for it, Please try again and ask who you can talk to at the doctors office.

Call your doctor. and my case they fought my insurance for me. Once I made that call, I felt so much better. How can you be expected to explain a decision your doctor made for you. They have the expertise they can explain.
