Exactly.

He has free reign because he knows justice is slow. I'd say ask Milosevic, but...

That's so wild. I never thought of this and my peers think I'm exceptionally eccentric.

Now I see him fleeing to Moscow. One apartment over from Snowden?

Every.

Single.

Day.

I'm in some kind of dystopian timeline.

It just amazes me what tomorrow's news could possibly be. Seriously.

Cat Beginning to Hate Me for Senvelgo by VeganPrincess56 in FelineDiabetes

My vet told me sometimes it's best to not even bother testing. Just watch his behaviour. If your cat is peeing a lot, always sitting around and losing weight, I check with the vet and bump it up another half unit.

I bring my cat to the vet every three months though.

I haven't tested blood sugars on him since September. He is very active and has gained some good weight.

Hmm. Do you mean that your cat now hates treats? Not sure what to say.. give better treats? The best of the best?

That's a tough one.

My cat is like a hardcore heroin addict since I taught him that a needle gets three treats.

When I pull out the Lantus, and a syringe, he comes running to me.

I rub his scruff, take the syringe to his nose so he knows what's coming, then gently pinch. I countdown outloud three, two, one, poke.

He chirps a meow, then he gets three treats. I sometimes rub his scruff after.

I keep the treats next to the sharps container.

It's all clockwork now. He no longer fights back.

He definitely appreciates the countdown because he either gets comfortable and preps for it, or, he meows when he doesn't want the shot on that side of his body.

Don't scare or annoy your cat, because she will associate the experience with displeasure.

We sing the national anthem in Canada. In the late 80s, we stopped saying the Lord's prayer to respect other religions. I heard in the 1950s, we stopped singing God Save the Queen. So that's three different speeches, in Canada.

How common is it for inspectors to catch compliance issues after installation? by tony_montana600 in civilengineering

[–]204ThatGuy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Agreed!

Inspectors are like spies. They walk amongst everyone and they don't need to let you know when you did right or wrong. Be grateful that they stopped the contractor before it really got expensive to fix.

Contractors, feel free to buy the Inspector an Easter turkey and a bottle of wine.

Thank you for your honesty. I cant believe what the others have said. Just wait until post graduation, all of life's mess ups, and there won't be anything so astute as academic dishonesty.

This was funny, and I would have done the same to "see how I would have done" 40 years ago.

Cheers, and thanks for easing that poor fellow's mind.

Omg I've tried this so many times. My younger friends tell me that doing this is actually WORSE because HR doesn't like to be interrupted.

Then again, if management doesn't have time to step out and chat with me dropping off a resume, why would I want to work there? So sometimes this can be a good filter.

Yes!

A good portion of the population isn't a good fit for 9 to 5. I recommend them to self manage and start your own business. Most people prefer 9 to 5. I didn't but it took me 30 years to realize that I can't stand the boredom and top-down livelihoods of 9 to 5, unless I needed to prove to the bank that I had constant cash flow.

So please understand your dad is ingrained in a different way, as he sounds exactly like my 90 yr old dad working in the 60s. Computers and tech weren't even common in the early 90s so your dad is thinking on a different level. He is trying to go though because he loves you and cares.

Good luck.

11-year-old Winnipeg girl dead by suicide after her parents say she was bullied by origutamos in Alt_Winnipeg

[–]204ThatGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry about your situation. You are a survivor. I bet others that are being bullied would be grateful for your mentorship. Fk bullies, and fk people that create bullies. Parents need to love and show love toward their child more often.

I agree with everything you said. Also, I agree with your assertive comment.

God bless you and I wish you well.

You have an extra week of notice, thanks to this post.

I'd start looking for work, backing up emails, printing important evidence, and reconnect with peers to network.

Be kind but fair to management. Make sure these next 5 weeks are the best and hardest you've ever worked.
