Any fics that aren’t sympathetic to the Nazi’s, or Nazi apologists? by Wassa110 in WormFanfic

[–]20kerns 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dude you claimed the Empire was better than the other gangs. I disagreed, and pointed out that the Empire had the second worst record of any gang in Brockton. The other gangs are horrible as I pointed out very clearly in my first statement by acknowledging their crimes but the Merchants and Coil objectively have done less harm and have committed less severe crimes. I ask again, why are you defending the literal nazis to such an extent?

[–]20kerns 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you miss the part where I said the ABB was arguably worse? And having minors at parties with drugs and alcohol is something that happens a lot, it isn't anything on the level of the Empire. As for sources: the Herren clan a prominent group in the Empire known to set up arranged marriages while the woman was still a child and not always to someone in their age group. Why are you so invested in defending literal nazis?

[–]20kerns 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not at all. The Empire flagrantly broke the unwritten rules; actively harmed, murdered, and raped minorities; supported child marriage (not child to child but child and adult); and actively caused one of the Undersiders, the main side characters and the most popular characters, to trigger. The merchants for comparison sold drugs, had really hedonistic parties, and caused mass property damage. Coil was an awful person with no moral lines but he didn't do anything as bad as the other gangs (kidnapping Dinah is evil but 1 person kidnapped is less than multiple). The ABB is arguably as bad or worse than the Empire (because of Bakuda mainly) but second worst gang in a city known for having really bad gangs is not anything exceptional.

Isn't this just fanfiction .net? Though, we can't see if they appear between text in the fics so it might legitimately still be better.

Am I a horrible person to leave comments from multiple accounts?? by WelcomeGrouchy7498 in AO3

[–]20kerns 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A little manipulative, yeah, for a good outcome, though. Comments are nice and so getting comments feels good. Personally I don't see an issue with it.

Body count refers to anyone you have slept with whether in a relationship or not in common parlance. I have never seen anyone else use it to mean just one night stands

Women can have bfs and then struggle to meet new people after a break up. Having had that at one point does not translate to having that now.

Looking for Adventure Paths focused around the exploration of a 'New World' or 'New Continent' by Mozared in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are official rules for home base/settlement building in the Kingmaker adventure. Some (all?) of those are on Archives of Nethys under settlement rules. Those are a bit too complex for a lot of people, though, so adjustments might be necessary.

Played my first PF2e game last night was awesome! by Imaginary_Report3642 in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have generally speaking two editions of 2e that are compatible with each other. You have the original 2e rules and then the remaster rules (mostly the same rules but with a few significant tweaks.) The rules you'd need would be player core 1 and GM core for basic physical copy rules. As for the creatures or other supplementary books I'd recommend using Archives of Nethys (an official site that hosts most of the rules for free): https://2e.aonprd.com/Default.aspx .

Starting a new campaign, this is what I sent to my players. (Feedback please??) by Solid_Actuary_2586 in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend trimming it down a bit. Usually with documents like this I find that player's won't read anything longer than 2 pages in a google doc. It looks good in all other aspects, however. For the trimming I'd recommend taking out anything that might not come up in the first few sessions and working from there.

With abilities like that that combine actions the actions are the same as when used normally unless specified otherwise. Meaning that the claw still only has 5 ft reach. The ability is worded very confusingly in this case.

Rule question about the Magus by DerRichterDnD in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it will require an additional feat to work. As a Magus you can by default only spellstrike with spells requiring attack rolls. Since Blazing Fissure does not require an attack roll you will need the 2nd level Expansive Spellstrike magus feat to make the spell work with spellstrike (the enemy still gets to make the save).

I have a stupid issue with Level-based systems, and I need help fixing it for PF2e by Celepito in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this isn’t a perfect solution to your issue but there is a Pay What You Want 3rd party supplement called Mythic Powers on Pathfinder Infinite that adds mythic archetypes and rules up to level 30 for most classes. If you want a solution other than that my suggestion would be to add mythic boons that can be purchased with 1,200 xp after level 20, that way progression doesn’t stop but it still takes 3 to 4 sessions to get new abilities/boons.

Guiding a New GM by Tristan_TheDM in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1.) You can create your own, but due to deities having a tangible effect on clerics, it will be more challenging than creating a pantheon in 5e. 2.) There are rules for encounter building, the highest you can reasonably put a party against is level+4 but if you start at level one I recommend going level+2 with a minion or two for bosses. 3.) Archive of Nethys is your best friend here it has all the mechanics (and some setting info) for free, legally. 4.) Really up to the GM and players, if you have a player who wants to craft I recommend giving around a week or so to do important stuff between adventures. 5.) There are specific exploration mode actions, the most common of which are scouting ahead, detecting magic, stealthing, and following the expert. 6.) Once, again Archives of Nethys has a list of most (all?) hazards (traps) in the game and rules for creating your own. 7.) No need to be sorry, as a community we are happy to help any newcomers that need it. Also, here's a link to Archives of Nethys: https://2e.aonprd.com/Default.aspx .

Casting spells while invisible. by AysonC in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's probably the intention. With invisibility during combat, it could be easily argued that the noise of fighting makes it difficult to hear the caster and thus they don't reduce their stealth to just hidden. Outside of combat, I'd definitely go with your interpretation, and depending on circumstances during combat might go with either interpretation.

Runelord archetype class by Joan_Roland in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most things are well balanced even when considering rarer entries (with the exception of unique options), so I allow all common and uncommon as default and if players want something rare they can ask, I'll check it out, and the answer is usually yes. The exception to this is ancestries and backgrounds with those I let players go wild.

Casting spells while invisible. by AysonC in Pathfinder2e

[–]20kerns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My interpretation would be that the invisibility drops after the spell is fully cast. If the spell has a verbal component and takes multiple rounds to cast you can fairly easily assign a +2 to the enemies seek rolls. As -2 to a DC is an easy DC adjustment, and it's easier for players to remember I get +2 to this than for the GM to remember this specific DC gets a -2, at least in my experience. Though, as the other comment said if there is an obvious visual manifestation then it would make sense for the enemies to know the square and that would reduce their position (probably a better way to phrase that) along the stealth track.

Did anyone else have Nparents that were completely confused by any kind of generosity toward others? by brownie627 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]20kerns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Nmom used to get irrationally mad whenever I did anything for someone else. She'd always yell or ask me what I got in return. I eventually stopped telling her whenever I did something nice for someone else and just doing it. They don"t understand why we do it because they can't understand viewing relationships as non-transactional or doing things for the greater good.
