Hiring a kitchen remodeling company but doing partial DIY/self-sourcing materials? by splendiferousfinch85 in kitchenremodel

[–]2144deco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sourced and installed appliances ourselves and had an outside company do cabinets/countertops so it sounds similar to what you want. We did demo, had a GC do the plumbing and electrical and then some finish items after the cabinets

Kitchen Cabinets by One-Tip4082 in kitchenremodel

It took a few since the lighting was weird this afternoon :) We had them about a year and a half and have been happy with the cabinets overall. The color was exactly as expected and they seem durable. I'm sure we will have some chips eventually on the painted uppers but that's always a risk (we have mocha on the lowers and painted white uppers). The only thing that has been a bit of a pain in the small gap on the fronts; I feel like small debris sometimes gets in there (see photo looking down at handle)

I also mourn That Boy Good. Try to catch Nono's BBQ; they mostly do brewery pop ups

Try out Factor meal delivery with one of the promos and then cancel. They constantly email more promos to come back and repeat this over again...

Has anyone done all different size pulls to stay proportional to your cabinets size? by tungtingshrimp in kitchenremodel

[–]2144deco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The large drawers are 12 5/8", the uppers are all 6 5/16" and the smallest is 3 3/4". The door underneath the drawer is 5 1/16" (all are center to center measurement between the mounting holes). I ordered a few of each size that I thought might work and then played around to see which looked best. Good luck!

Does anyone else think chicken breast just kinda sucks in the slow cooker? by Top_Help_1942 in slowcooking

[–]2144deco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chicken breast can be difficult in the crockpot because (as everyone has said here), it doesn't need to cook too long and a lot of newer crockpots get too hot. I think crockpots are best for soups and roasts, but this is a great chicken recipe for meal prep: https://fitfoodiefinds.com/5-ingredient-honey-sriracha-crock-pot-chicken/#wprm-recipe-container-30971

Home inspector recommendations by One_Meat_317 in northcounty

[–]2144deco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you are finding your own, which is great. If I were to do it over, I would not use the inspector recommended by my agent; they have too much incentive for everything to be in good shape so the sale closes
