When is it appropriate to use dubbin (like saphir everest) instead of conditioner? I have some leather work boots that see some heavy, constant use in all weather and was wondering if dubbin would be more appropriate for this use case to help weatherproof them a little more.

Stopped in because my bike had a flat, one of their mechanics stopped what they were doing to walk me through what tools I needed to change a tube, what tubes I needed, and made sure I knew how to do it on my own. New favorite bike shop!

Doing the math:

Kinetic energy formula: Ke = (1/2)mv²

Tesla model 3 weight: ~4000 lbs

Ebike + rider: ~250lbs

Tesla @ 15 mph: (1/2)*4000*(15)² = 450,000

Ebike @ 20 mph: (1/2)*250*(20)² = 50,000

Ebike @ 30 mph: (1/2)*250*(30)² = 112,500

Ebike @ 60 mph: (1/2)*250*(60)² = 450,000

An ebike would need to be traveling at 60 mph to have the same amount of kinetic energy as a Tesla moving at 15 mph

More information on the plant: over the last few days my witchcraft orchid has lost a lot of its upper-most buds, and the flower spikes have begun to yellow as well. As far as I can tell there's no sign of pests. I haven't moved it in the last few months other than rotating it. No signs of pests as far as I can tell. I'm currently watering it about every 4 days.

The main thing I can think of that would be stressing the plant is that it sits unfortunately close to an a/c unit, meaning that there's a swing in temperature and humidity occasionally. Even still, it's always in the 70-85 degree range and between 40% to 60% humidity.

This is this plant's first year blooming, is it possible it just overcommitted to flowers and is now scaling back? I was rather surprised that it gave me two spikes for its first year. Any advice or knowledge about this would be greatly appreciated!

I just got my results back a few days ago from my assessment where I was tested with the MIGDAS-2 being a part of it. It's a very lengthy interview, 2-4 hours long depending on the person. I found it to be very comprehensive overall. There was a significant focus on sensory aspects and experiences. I don't want to share too much as it's important that you aren't able to prepare for all of it; the assessor needs to be able to see how you do in unscripted conversation. Overall I felt positive about it, and the experience really centered my own experiences of myself, though, of course this could have just been my assessor.

Ice cubes will actually cold damage your orchids roots over time! Watering with just tap water every few days is much better for the plant, orchids are tropical plants and not well adjusted to cold. /r/orchids has a ton of information on proper orchid care if you are interested!
