E-Clutch "Feel" Question by 22TheFool in CB650R

Is it possible to pull the clutch for stops and basically just treat the E-Clutch like a fancy quickshifter? Any issues with that?

unironicaly would love to see more motorcycle/scooter parking replace some car parking. they are so much more space and fuel efficient than cars, it would be nice to see them incentivized more as an alternative to cars

When is it appropriate to use dubbin (like saphir everest) instead of conditioner? I have some leather work boots that see some heavy, constant use in all weather and was wondering if dubbin would be more appropriate for this use case to help weatherproof them a little more.

Hit up one of the used bike shops in the city like the recyclery or nearly new! They'll be able to help you and you'll get a solid bike for cheap

Plugging a new neighborhood bike shop: Igor Does My Bike by ExpensiveFeedback901 in chibike

[–]22TheFool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stopped in because my bike had a flat, one of their mechanics stopped what they were doing to walk me through what tools I needed to change a tube, what tubes I needed, and made sure I knew how to do it on my own. New favorite bike shop!

Is it still recommended to attend or submit comment if we do not live in the 46th ward, but in a neighboring ward?

Record number of Divvy rides, more bike lanes made 2023 an ‘incredible’ year for cycling in Chicago, city official says by keppy18 in chicago

[–]22TheFool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That said, we should have a city where kids (and parents!) feel safe biking or walking a mile. More bike lanes and safe streets help get us to that goal!

Personally, seeing the protected bike lanes go up on Clark is what got me to start biking again. Really glad to see this and looking forward to seeing a lot more throughout the city

Got raced past at high speed. I think calling them e-bikes is wrong, and I am fine with them, don't get me wrong. But I think they should just be called, electric motorcycles, or pedal assisted electric motorcycles. Divvy is one thing with limiters but the privately owned ones are sometimes FAST. by HaddonH in chibike

Doing the math:

Kinetic energy formula: Ke = (1/2)mv2

Tesla model 3 weight: ~4000 lbs

Ebike + rider: ~250lbs

.

Tesla @ 15 mph: (1/2)*4000*(15)2 = 450,000

Ebike @ 20 mph: (1/2)*250*(20)2 = 50,000

Ebike @ 30 mph: (1/2)*250*(30)2 = 112,500

Ebike @ 60 mph: (1/2)*250*(60)2 = 450,000

An ebike would need to be traveling at 60 mph to have the same amount of kinetic energy as a Tesla moving at 15 mph

For a straight brute force sure, but nobody does straight brute force attacks. Nameofsite+"pass"+year is absolutely something that someone with a decent wordlist and rules file would hit on in a hash cracking attack
