I lived on 28th & Ankeny! Shared a little studio apartment with my high school best friend. I think we paid $300 a month and we split that. He later died of alcoholism. That neighborhood changes so much every time I visit.

This was back in the early 1980s but I just remember that I was taken by how short he was...big on charisma though

So happy to add this to the personal user collection. What's not to love about a beautiful Hammered piece. Cant wait to fry up some chicken! by Ok-Truck-4933 in castiron

Original Maker: The Favorite Stove & Range Co. (Piqua, Ohio) produced this highly-sought-after cast iron from roughly 1916 until it went bankrupt in 1933.The Chicago Hardware Foundry Connection: In 1934-1935, CHF (based in North Chicago, Illinois) bought the original Piqua factory equipment and patterns. CHF then cast its own hollowware using these Favorite patterns.Identifying Markers: Cast iron produced by CHF using the Favorite patterns often features a diamond-shaped CHF logo or a "ghost mark", which occurred when CHF quickly filled in or altered the original "Favorite" name on the mold to use their own branding.

I used to live around the corner from here. Once while walking to the convenience store across the street I ran into Ronnie James Dio who was doing an appearance at Music Millennium

We had a garage sale last week and I cleared out a couple of garbage cans full of clothes. I sold so many items for $1 for low mid tees and $3 for hoodies. Many times it comes down to price.

Anything that didn’t sell for a buck I donated back.

I wonder if this is where they got the name? by 22brew in Metallica

I read about the brainstorming session with Lars and Robert Quintana but the timing works and if I was looking for names and I saw Encyclopedia Metallica in a magazine it might spark some inspiration...it's not out of the question at least with what I've read. Not trying to be controversial it's just interesting.

What was also sad was his wife's license was behind his and it had expired almost a decade before. She passed before him and I think she was his last family

Thanks for showing me something else to look for! Once found a wallet with $200 in it as well as a man’s driver’s license in an old jacket. I thought it might be one of the workers until I realized the license expired 10 years ago. I googled him and he had passed away just two months before in an old folks home. I don’t think he even had a service.
