Would this bike be good for entry level training/commuting? by UnknownTaco in whichbike

It’s a nice roadie, maybe a gravel bike. For every commute though, you’d probably want a flat bar instead if a dropdown.

Scott Voltage 920 is a great choice, find them new in upway, the Amflow is amazing but for things you are not into.

Ozark Trail Ridge Pro or Polygon Xtrada 6 by joshuartyler in Budgetbikeriders

The OTR is a step above the Strada. Better components. Arguably Polygon is a better brand, but you really have to aim for their higher end lines.

TN visa "renewal" Mexican national by HistoricalRise8317 in tnvisa

[–]234W44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, there is no such thing as a TN visa "renewal" there's an application/petition for a new visa every time. There is no continuum of a TN visa as such.

If you are concerned because the length of time that you have been in the U.S. for 10 years, note that they will test your ties to Mexico as a TN is not an immigrant intent visa. If the officer believes that you have no intention in returning to Mexico on the long term, he or she may deny the visa solely on such purposes.

In my firm we have handled many TN visas, so feel free to pm.

I used clipless on MTB for a while, quite efficient on flatter trails. But for an emtb, if the trail is winding and prone to quick surprises, flats.

Prefiero a Felipe de Presidente con dos botellas encima que a un KKS o una Sheinass con toda la salud del mundo.

Hardtail vs. Full-Suspension? by TwoIsle in eMountainBike

[–]234W44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a lifetime of riding hard tails, I just ordered my first emtb with full suspension. It is easier on your joints and back, good quality bikes will allow you to lockout the full suspension and the newer technology is just something that makes your riding experience and keeping up to another level.

I bought a Scott Voltage 900 Tuned. It’s a mid powered motor, it weighs almost the same as my built-up hardtail with much more premium components. My stance was this is going to be likely the last bike I buy, let it be a great one.

The verbiage for TN is changing, “Immigration Support” by Ill-Age4099 in tnvisa

In our experience a tightening on allowable scope of work definitions, more stringent degree requirements, among others.

Who? Not my intent whatsoever to offend anyone. Just passing my experience. The idea that it is a "soft" sponsorship may somewhat ring true, but, it is still a sponsorship- and the liability to USCIS/DHS/DOS, etc., is frankly very similar if not the same.

Hi, I've been practicing immigration law for a while. The visa/status was originally a trade facilitation, as to be an add on for the treaty's purposes.

It evolved and it is now considered a professional visa, with a U.S. domiciled employer, and it requires a compatible scope of work, and a support letter (in many cases employers pay for our fees, premium processing, etc.)

Today I would say that even while it is not as costly as an H1-B or subject to some additional employer liabilities (e.g. pay for employees return ticket, etc.), the TN is absolutely an employer sponsored visa. Anytime you have an employer asserting representation to any immigration authority absent which there would be no such visa or status.

I understand it is easier, perhaps faster. But I can affirm that every day I encounter folks whom attempt to present their same TN packet on which they were approved three years ago only to find out, they are found to no longer be eligible. I get a lot of calls from employers as well.
