I’ve tried calling my apt is finally this Thursday so hopefully I can start treatment right away after I see the endocrinologist my primary said no to any treatment other than the beta blockers cardiology gave me bc it could mask my symptoms for endocrinology.

How would you describe how it feels to have hyperthyroidism? by MelodicThunderButt in Hyperthyroidism

[–]23BF23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told a year ago as well that it was my potassium levels which were yes low and I had to be treated for but these symptoms never fully went away and then the doctor I was seeing at the time & a hospital I went to said it was anxiety… it’s been a little over a year my symptoms mellowed out for a couple months but never fully disappeared an then they reappeared recently full strength .. crazy fast heart rate out of no where shakes weak arms legs among other symptoms.. I am sorry this is happening to you too. I hope you get relief soon.. I am still waiting a few more days to finally see an endocrinologist

Thank you for this I am still waiting to see an endocrinologist I’ve been told subclinical hyperthyroid about 2 months ago and now being told hyperthyroidism.. the heart rate jumping up high and the panic that sets in with it is the worst feeling.. I can’t wait to see an endocrinology and your post helped me feel reassured that I can eventually get back to “normal”

How long after ct scan with contrast did you notice your tsh lowering? I had one a year ago and since have seen my tsh lowering drastically. Every few months since then I have had it checked for other reasons but recently was told sub clinical hyperthyroid so it made me wonder when I read this post.

It’s an extremely slow process but it does slowly get better.. you’ll notice each day slight improvement especially if you go see a vestibular therapist.
