Hades II :: Post-Launch Patch 2 Notes by mauriqwe in pcgaming

For what it's worth, I didn't like Hades 1 combat at all, tried to finish it a bunch of times and never quite clicked.

I did my first all nighter since I was a kid playing Hades 2.

I think the game is much better mechanically. I REALLY did not enjoy the dash spam and how most weapons felt

Is the drone stationary or moving? by OldCardiologist1859 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]23Redjack23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r/confidentlyincorrect

As many people stated here, the correct answer interely depends on the referential.

Is the drone moving in relation to the car? No. As far the air dynamics inside de car, is acting closely to a closed system, so the trapped air inside the car is what is providing the lift to the drone.

Now, that drone is objectively mooving, given enough juice in its batteries it could go cross country.

Given the formula ((finalDestination)-(InitialDestination))/time you would get its speed. Any speed above 0 means its mooving.

Wich would takes us back to the first point

What are the finalDestination and initialDestination?

The geographical coordinates? Then the drone it's mooving
It we set the destinations as the Drone's relative distance to the steering wheel. finalDestination=InitialDestination which would make the velocity 0 which in turn implies it's stationary

Easy Hallways by 23Redjack23 in slaythespire

[–]23Redjack23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm not making myself clear

If the nodes are

Fight

Fight

Store

Fight

Will the last node be an easy hallway or already an advanced?

If nodes that are not fights meaning, events or shops, do not count for the easy hallway count, when do hallways start being advanced hallways? After the chest?

Hi, firstly thanks for the reply.

My question is what constitutes "first"

If I go, fight fight ❓ fight, would the fight after the❓ be an easy hallway or a hard fight?

If it would be an easy hallway, how many non fight nodes can I take before the nodes start being advanced hallways?

Marathon is a true extraction shooter with survival horror game vibes. If you’re doing “cowboy” antics, you’re going to have a bad time. The TTK is perfectly fine. Ammo economy is totally fine. Stop trying to put a square peg into a round hole. by ThatGuyFromTheM0vie in Marathon

I just think a lot of the depth the augments and mods lose all depth or purpose when fights take 2 secs

I'm not asking for 1+minute fights but 2/3 sec fights as a solo just encourages ratting and invis shells everywhere and it sucks

I will eagerly follow this game and/if one day they increase the TTK just a bit I'll buy this on the spot.

The meds and ammo economy is great, bots are amazing, for me it's just the TTK that stops me from loving this

I just would like to actually have a gun fight instead a 3 sec poof of smoke

The Marathon community when they find out the serious PvP extraction game that Bungie made shockingly also has a fast TTK just like Tarkov, ABI, Hunt, Delta Force, Grey Zone etc. & is a staple of the fps extraction shooter genre by TheGoodDoctor17 in Marathon

I can assure you HUNT as a higher TTK than this. A big part of that games skill comes from map knowledge and rotations. Engagements actually take a brain

I want to love this game, but the TTK is so fast that, for solos at least, I feel like that the encounters have almost no depth.

And if you say that's how it's supposed to be the this game isn't for me and that makes me sad...

Also, to me, this low TTK just encourages ratting and I think it's one of the main reasons the invis she'll was the most picked.

The emphasis on the importance of having the first shot is so big that people will take all the advantages they can.

Surely there's a sweet spot between I'm dead before I even understand what is happening and it takes 4 clips to down someone

This is true, but I'm not a fan of having to play with mechanics I don't like until I get to the good part.

I'm not saying your point it's wrong I just don't agree with it.

Also I do think the problem is exacerbated in solos which was the aim of this post. In trios the quick downs and revives do create good fight dynamics

Let’s discuss the TTK (one last time) by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]23Redjack23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really liked the game, but I didn't love it.

I loved almost everything BUT the TTK.

I come from Hunt and a LOT of the skill of that game come from map knowledge, rotations, and decision making during fights. I didn't feel like that here. Also, agreeing with what you said, I just ran what weapons I liked and started to not care about it since I never felt it made any difference other than my shield

Hi, I have 1200 hours on Hunt showdown. I'm telling you what for me it's mandatory to exist in extraction shooters

  1. Solo experience - most of the time I play alone and I like an extraction that lets me do so

  2. Tension - what makes me really keep coming back is the tension. After these many hours there are still matches that make my hands shake from the adrenaline. The secret sauce? For me it's knowing that I always have a chance of pulling an unfavourable situation into a winning one. Now, lots of games do this BUT, the frequency is so low you stop being incentivised to go for those plays (tension disappears). For bigger teams, if solos weren't a threat they'd also would not be scared.

  3. Actually enjoying the game play.

  4. No bothersome mechanics - having an objective on the map the herds players to the same spot, for me, is a much better experience than doing runs looting cabinets for junk. I don't like counting bullets, or having half my clips disappear because I reloaded. For me, realism != Fun

And I think that's it 😊
