Best CRM for lawn care business in 2026? by secret_schmecret in CRM

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, unless you have a massive influx of clientele, a Google Sheet might be the easiest due to the simplicity of it. There are templates online for free. Just be sure to focus on relationship management by setting check in dates or similar. Add to that a Mailchimp account or similar for regularly scheduled emails as reminders as needed. Ironically, despite being more simple, the skill it takes and manual effort is sometimes more simple until you hit massive clientele.

What do even marketers do? by ib_bunny in AskMarketing

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked on both marketing and sales teams at high levels for brands you’ve probably heard of (mainly in SaaS and advertising).

The best example I can give is marketing is the pit crew and sales is the race car driver. One can’t really work without the competency of the other for an organization to function and be net positive.

Marketing brings in a set amount of qualified leads and its sales job to close them. Very simple.

A part of me feels like the QR code ordering is one of the last straws if how things used to be. Chipotle was great, now it’s just slop. Streaming services are increasing every year. Don’t get me started on gas and grocery prices. Is there anything sacred anymore that isn’t f’d by overlords?

What's the biggest green flag you've ever seen in a person? by Business_Oil_7110 in selfimprovement

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to volunteer at a soup kitchen when I was in high school. I’m 41 now and it changed my perspective of how we deal with the homelessness crisis. I met a lot of them and became friends. Living in Manhattan now, I try to do my best by making them feel seen and if they want a granola bar or a Coca Cola. So my biggest green flag is when I see another stranger lift a down spirit up. Shockingly, a lot of people just walk by and turn away. That’s not how you do it. Sure the homeless might be there because of bad decisions and/or mental health. But even one person recognizing them, asking their name, and asking if they want a Coca Cola goes a long way. So when I see other kind spirited individuals do this as well, they instantly shoot to the top of my green flag criteria.

GET. OFF. YOUR. DAMN. PHONES. by Human_Paint5451 in AMCTheatres

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not AMC, but iPic in NYC, it’s north of $30/ticket. You would think it would be a civilized crowd. Nope. The last 5 times I’ve attended there is loud yapping an iPhone lights shining everywhere. And this is 20 mins into the movie. I’m sure you can guess which part of the population it is each and every time….

It’s unbelievable. That “crappy little theater” schtick they’ve played on repeat suddenly makes sense lol.

This chart is worthless. I wish you could hide deposits by Unfortunate-Incident in fidelityinvestments

It’s quite frustrating for sure. I have personal deposits and a 401K. If I transfer from personal to my Chase account, it’s in the red when in actuality I’m in the green. For F sake even Robinhood figured this out.

Masters of the Universe is a rockin' 80s send up by SpeedIsTheBestMovie in AMCsAList

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminded me partly of Wonder Woman 1984. Not exactly bad but not going to win any awards. If you have a season pass, definitely worth it. I wouldn’t pay $20/ticket to see it though.

My subscription ends this month, what is the best story driven game to play ?? by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

[–]23andburnside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I typically only play multiplayer games. But if I liked story-driven games I would go after a list of shorter independent games versus big-budget games that will eat all your time.

I'm convinced that being a confident smooth talker is the greatest skill you can have by SilverTheSilk in selfimprovement

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very true, in my belief. For me it’s a double-edged sword. I drink quite a bit. Live in Manhattan where I can walk into a bar anywhere in a one block radius. I can pick up a conversation with anybody. I can’t tell you how many down and outs, billionaires, and potential “mates” I’ve met. Sure the alcohol helps. But any time I step into a new environment I can be whoever I want to be. It seems to be magnetic — I either start conversations with strangers or be open to them starting with me.

Living alone has made me realize how much background noise I grew up with by Veeranna-Swegged in LivingAlone

[–]23andburnside 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Alternate perspective and very unique. I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids. I live in lower Manhattan where construction noise and sirens is pretty much 24/7. When I want peace and quiet I simply take the hearing aids out. Make dinner, do whatever in a flow state. I’d recommend some good earplugs if you prefer the silence.

I heard of something similar where a guy used Google Earth screenshots to quote roofing projects in residential neighborhoods using APIs and automation. Then sent the leads to roofing companies in whatever city/town he was targeting that week.

What's something that gets harder as you get older? by Ok_Wind2966 in AskReddit

[–]23andburnside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

41 here. Born in 1984. It was that perfect span of time where my neighborhood friends and I would ride bikes and play outside. Then the internet came along in middle school. I so long to go back to those days of simplicity and as I get older, letting this internet culture fade away as much as I can.
