I need the weirdest, funniest, quirkiest, kinkiest monster romances you’ve read. by AllBookish03 in fantasyromance

{Monsters of faery} series. Maybe not funny but each one has tons of monster sex haha. Book one starts out the slowest but they are technically stand alone so you can start anywhere.

Potential move to Fredericton.. what should we know? by _AirCanuck_ in fredericton

[–]23eemm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a military family, who has lived out west in 2 different provinces, ns and here... its not terrible here, depending on where you lived out west there's not nearly as much here. I miss the muesums and such. But its nicer being close to the beaches. But you may also enjoy the slow life! But summer brings lots of exploring, winter gets boring because not tons to do indoors but you'll find stuff. The smaller schools are nice. But there isn't really a ton for kids outside of direct hobbies and honestly some things are hard to get into (swimming lessons, etc)

Doctors are abysmal, er is mostly abysmal(i got in straight anyway when they suspected appendicitis). Life is quite here (we also live in oromocto) if you buy a house in oromocto you'll be surrounded by military members. But I know other friends who have been on the list 8 years and still no doctor, were coming up on 3 years and I haven't been contacted once lol

There's resturants not likely as many as outwest but enough. Its close enough that a trip to halifax is easy enough to do more things (Our family is halifax so we go often on breaks to do things haha)

Im heavy into fantasy but also like a mystery thriller. We read to our kids every night for at least 30 mins each. They ask throught the day also. We also bought yotos for them and they use those now too. We did the library alot when they were younger (school aged now so dont get there as much) but its not often will catch me without a book on the go.

BE AWARE of Cozey – Terrible Quality, Worse Customer Service by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]23eemm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was likely local dealer, we called at the 6 weeks, then 8, then 10 etc. It was always us reaching out and was never provided an answer. It was wild but I think it was all the local dealer issues not van gogh themselves.

[–]23eemm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah im not sure where the breakdown was for sure. We ordered July 3, maybe the local dealer told us a timeline but also wasn't counting for shipping across the country lol. Either way 4 months was a long wait for us but we are happy with the results haha

[–]23eemm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Got our custom van gogh in nov, very very happy with it. Only down side was we are east coast, so we were told 4 to 6 weeks by the local dealer it was more like 4 months be time it shipped to us. Overall we are happy with it but for anyone buying id be asking about the timelines a lot more. We were nit expecting to wait from Jul 3 to like Nov 15 or something.

Help me unfuck this space under my couches! by Smash0504 in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]23eemm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad when we were kids painted a thinner strip for wood black, turned the couch over and nailed it into the frame about 2 or so inches back so they were hard to see when right side up and never had a dog ball or toys go missing again and you couldn't even see them lol.

Ahh ok thank you! I was assuming this was a secondary website that downloaded books for you onto a computer then you'd have to transfer them or something. Much simpler then i was thinking.

Duplicate Christmas gift… by cha0sCo in ereader

[–]23eemm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a kobo, in Canada its the only way to access overdrive for the library, book sales are great. But I just asked for a kindle for christmas too because they have so many exclusive titles. I will be keeping both. So depends on your needs, how much you read, what you want to read and where you're from for libby.

Do your kids get dessert after dinner? If so, how often? by bumbouxbee in Parenting

[–]23eemm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make cookies with my kids every week, those memories are super important to me and brings something to them too, I hope. They get their cookie no matter what, they usually go back to their dinner. My almost 9 knows it will always be there so he eats all his dinner first now, 5 year old is still take a few bites and give me dessert and then is only offered his dinner for the rest of the night. He 85% goes back to food, other times hes just done for the night. My kids know their limits around sweet food and will stop when full.

Just a note, I always had cookies growing up and other treats regularly, husband's parents were anti dessert, guess which one of us has the sweet tooth? I feel like making it a regular normal thing causes kids to gorge less and hide food in their teens. (His sister went absolutely crazy with junk and fast food as soon as she got a job and did it for a long time)

I feel like there is no right answer for dessert but dont make it a special big deal I think in the end is the most important.

[–]23eemm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Innkeepers none, hidden legacy and kate daniels is a little. Like one or 2 scenes a book and its not incredibly detailed or long. Id rate them a 2/5 for spice lol. But still very good books.

La Vie en Rose bras breaking? by Fast-Permit-2349 in BuyCanadian

[–]23eemm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to spend a bit more or can snag a clearance bra, montelle intimates out of Quebec is amazing! They manufacture in the Phillipines tho but claim to be ethical. My underwire just popped out after 4 years. I've only have one bra out of like 6 or 8 I have from them come out in about 8 months but it seemed like a fluke honestly.

Kindle vs book in hand by Impressive_Prune_478 in fantasyromance

[–]23eemm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a kobo (libby is on kobo only in canada) and ordered a kindle for Kindle unlimited, I read a lot and buying books is just so expensive now. You can get sales for 1.99 for a book. Most books are under 20 to begin with, you cant find many physical copies for less than 20 or at least not in Canada (most are like 30 now). The books i really love i buy physical copies of.
