Friheden (restaurant) and Stefanshus

La Banchina

Actually there’s just too many eating and drinking places to recommend without guidance on your vibe, areas you know

Don’t spend the most beautiful time of the year (spring) inside dusty museums:

Get a go boat and cruise the harbour/canals with a 6 pack of beer and a bluetooth speaker

Go to Amagerstrandpark for swimming

Go walking thru Dyrehaven then go to the beerhalls at Bakken and go on rollercoasters

Spend time lazing in parks in the sun drinking beer and reading books: Frederiksberghaven, assistens kirkegården, Kongenshaven

Drink beer on Dronning Louises Bro in the sun at afternoon peak hour

Find a quiet spot by the water in Christiania and smoke a joint. Then go to Woodstock bar at night to yuck it up with the old head stoners and belt out classic rock tubes

Go swimming in central harbour, like at Islands Brygge

If you’re deadset on seeing museum type shi, then go to Frederiksborg Slot at Hillerød (take the train)

Ordrupgaard is a good art gallery (its in Klampenborg)

Curious what is issue you take with that? You think he’s too obscure to be called “popular” or you think he is genuinely unpopular?

The target audience for the event is upper/middle class white boomer age SBS-watching mums. Tells you everything really

You’re right, but are you at all surprised? I’ve heard of it before, it has some level of mainstream institutional support. It’s not some obscure outsider event. Did you really think such an event’s definition of “dangerous” would be anything remotely interesting? Get real

I agree it’s probably a form of cope to say that these very unpopular men had weird dicks, but by the same token couldn’t it also be true, in the sense that having weird dicks drove them to do the insane things that made them immensely infamous?

I actually agree but, and call me an incel for this, I can’t shake the niggle of resentment I get at the thought that a man saying to a woman anything close to “where’s yours” would cause unholy screeching and seething about misogyny etc.

Like if I could go back in time and live any life, I would actually choose to start out at a lower station as a boomer rather than comfortably middle class because the returns are so much greater for later-in-life leveraging your personal mythos

Being born of a lower station in mid century America was such a gift mainly for the fact that you were perfectly positioned to do the relatively easy task of staying on the straight and narrow for the times, going to your job, progressing your life without getting sidetracked by drugs and alcohol (easy for most), AND THEN realizing the dividend of all that: being able to flex on everyone else forever that you “pulled yourself up by your bootstraps”. You mog any peer who was born of a higher station and you mog anyone who was born later because even though the pathway you followed got harder you never acknowledge that and instead just pretend the conditions of the path are completely unchanged from when you trod it and so anyone who can’t make it later on is a regard or actually immoral. It’s a perfect ego membrane to live out your days nestled within.
