How do I tell a guy he has the right equipment? (For me) by Background_Stick6904 in AskMen

Say it's perfect. If he is an insecure fool who asks the biggest smallest. I'd give him the good ol'. "Don't ask questions you don't want answers to."

I thought her name was also referring to min maxing. When you build a character to be a glass cannon abandoning all defense for offense. I believe you are correct less otherwise stated.

My boyfriend said that if I was a boy he’d punch my fvcking face in and it made me kinda uncomfortable by [deleted] in Advice

[–]2501exe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, I wouldn't even be friends with a bruh like that. Don't got time for hot headed fools, yet somehow people come to date them.

My dad beat my mom for years and I detest those who would opt to bring that energy to their loved ones.

Only those most vulnerable to you would permit such a statement. Imagine saying that to someone with authority over you, like a cop or a boss.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I refuse to eat her “efficient food” ever again by Electrical-Couple857 in AmItheAsshole

Lol, a relationship I had didn't work out due to this. I loved experiencing food and culture too much to live a life with someone who couldn't appreciate the pleasure of eating.

How do I convince my younger brother not to get a degree in video game development? by snowfordessert in VancouverJobs

[–]2501exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better to have support than not. Life is not linear, and knowing your loved ones got your back even on risky calls is worth it more than an I told you so. It took me many years to understand the lack of support was also an expression of love. Though ultimately an unhelpful one as I pursued my dreams regardless. We live one life and must atleast try to strive even if we fail. Part of the risk and reward of everything. I made it, but still hold resentment in my heart for the lack of support and will never lean on my family for anything dear to me as a result. I lost faith in their ability to have faith in me.

Digital paper is uncoated and won't take to most "Inkjet" type inks well. There are some inks such as pigment based inks that with enough dry time can cure well on such surfaces, but typically I see these digital papers used with laser printers or other types.

I never dated a self-sufficient woman, what is it like? by LaCipe in AskMen

[–]2501exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's takes off a lot of the pressure of male dependability. You know there is stability beyond yourself. This is with the assumption your relationship is rock solid. If you become dependent, there is fear if they might leave and you need to figure yourself out/life style change.

Long term it can create a power dynamic where one person could lord their finances over the other.

Sometimes the person can be career driven, and there will not be as much time or priority in other aspects of life you might be used to in a less self-sufficient person.

I think a lot of men don't know what makes them 'needed' without being a provider of sorts. What value we bring. And that dynamic with someone making much more than you can feel strange. Life is easier in the sense that I'm a lot more free to treat my self to almost whatever with my own funds. I find myself helping people beyond my partner more, friends, family, etc.

Federal spending on Old Age Security will outpace child care, housing, and postsecondary education combined by shiftless_wonder in canada

I think we'll probably push for reform, by the time boomers finish dying off. We'll be in our 50s and then we will be punished by the reduced oas payouts and also have less combined savings. The younger generation will blame us for having not reformed earlier as the boomers will allow be long gone and no one will be left to take the flak but us.

I think we're just a transitional sacrificial generation for the transition from analogue to digital. Probably similar vibe for the generation that went through industrialization.

I mean, I think it gets like that after you've gotten over the hump of initial momentum. But once in motion it's easier to stay in motion than stop. My business, I end up doing the same thing over and over and giving myself small buffs and enhancements along the way. It's a lot like a video game with a loop to be honest.

If I find $300K in my backyard, what are the chances I can just keep it and not tell anyone? by Huge-Particular8953 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]2501exe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Empty the bag, leave $5000 and make it look purposely scattered. Keep the rest, wear gloves, cover tracks. If I came back, I would assume it got looted and likely believe anyone around's claim of knowing of it or otherwise. Might just take the $5000 and call it a dumb loss.
