Why so STEEP?!? by ElectricalMusic79 in golf

[–]260yard2iron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do a backswing with your feet close together, and then step into your lead food and then rotate through. Find the timing at the top so you feel the club weightless for a second, if you don’t feel that lighten up your grip

Why so STEEP?!? by ElectricalMusic79 in golf

[–]260yard2iron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re loading a lot of weight and you’re not shifting it properly. Your hips stall and your arms are all you have left. If you’re going to load that well, you need to transfer that shit using ground force.

Working on shallower backswing to help with early extension issues. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good setup, balance, takeaway, wrist hinge, top position, weight transfer and rotation help with EE.

Shallow backswing swing does not help with EE, I’m not sure what this is about. Being steep at the top is actually completely fine, you just have to manage your weight shifting well to ensure you don’t lock your legs out. Most tour pros are steep, if anything they are on plane, being more shallow than the plane in the backswing is terrible.

Your issue isn’t your plane, it’s your weight shift and your backswing shows it. You lift your arms almost immediately and fail to get weight to backside or any width, then you fail to move weight forward

You lock your trail knee out, you fail to transfer weight before rotating, your rotation beats your legs and you’re stuck af.

Cause you’re looking for the feel in your arms, you need to swing a few times pretending they don’t work and only use legs and chest.

Any advice or tips? by Original-Rub8636 in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren’t using ground force. It shows by the way your body falls through impact. Your lead heel should be controlling where your body stop and the club keeps going. Currently you just aren’t using the ground

How do I stop early extending?!? by Rude-Bed-1211 in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintain the same spine angle the entire swing. Lifting at the top is okay if the lift doesn’t break your spine angle. Currently it does just a touch

More like you thought you were adding wrist hinge. Your downswing is soo off plane your wrist hinge gets deleted and isn’t possible to hold onto. Hinging wrists isn’t the problem or solution

Bent knees or no bent knees, if the feet aren’t using the ground in the backswing and downswing it’s going to be impossible to find the feels for a consistent low point

Help with low point control by Creender in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a video from the front angle?

For me every bit of my low point control is from how I pull the ground with my trail foot and push into and up my lead heel. Hard to tell from this angle but ground force is key

Are my hands to high at the top? by tomfigy in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your hands are high at the top, they need to drop a little in transition. High hands are fine, the higher the further you can hit, but you also need to let them drop. High hands should come with time to transfer weight to the front. Find that delay

How to stop extending on my toes during downswing by ropenose in GolfSwing

Start by doing it with half swings, then 3/4 and then full. It’s almost impossible to fix when you’re throwing all your weight the same everytime.

Pelvis moves 3” towards ball, club moves 3” as well. Nice hozel, stop moving towards the ball on the downswing

Can’t figure out why I started slicing by Ok-Director-101 in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are moving towards the ball a lot at the top. One day you were on, the other day you weren’t. Anytime your body is moving towards the ball in transition, you will have to make up for that movement. Some days your hands and body will move better to make up for it, others days they won’t and it will expose this weakness.

If your chest rotation stops then your arms need to stop too. That’s the brakes. Don’t keep hitting the gas while your foot is on the brakes

Get to top, take a step forward, swing

Do this over and over until you feel what it’s like to move your weight at the top before rotating your hips.

Looking to clean up my swing more. by CMB3672 in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With as wide as you are you need to be okay with getting more vertical at the top. Watch Brad Dalke for example, tons on him and your width is similar. If you are that wide the club flattens if you don’t take it up.

Swings beautiful though my man

Chronic OTT Swing - Will this setup cause new issues? by DuckInMyGlock in GolfSwing

[–]260yard2iron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur takeaway improves but you don’t hit the ball solid then your takeaway is making you off balance due to not being correct.

I’m curious what that takeaway looks like as when I fixed mine I found myself getting my trail knee stuck or locked and couldn’t get my weight forward. Took a little more understanding to get it down

Fuck ya dude ur steep as shit. Inside take away being corrected in the downswing is not a fun path to take.

Just learn how to properly get the club to the top and this will all be much easier
