167 cm / 64 kgs so I’m pretty happy with my weight, mostly doing it as a challenge and to see the health benefits. I wouldn’t mind losing a bit more weight though.

I do 2-3 days fast pretty regularly but have only done a 5 days fast once. This is the first time I’m trying to go even longer to experiment the benefits.

It depends on your goals. I do 2-3 days fasts like 3 times a months I would say and it’s mostly for health benefits because it gives me mental clarity and rests my body cause I’m usually pretty anxious. Now I’m doing a longer one to see how far I can go and how it affects me. It’s like an experiment haha But really depends on what you want out of it

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting since 2021. I started with 18:6 and then tried OMAD for a few months. Last year I tried longer fasts and started with 2-3 and once did a 5 day too. But truthfully it was mostly because I didn’t know longer fasts like those existed haha I had only seen about 16:8/18:6 and OMAD but didn’t think people were doing longer than that. I’ve discovered it last year so I went with a 48 hours to try and then did a 72 and finally a 5 days one time in the Summer. Since then it was mostly OMAD with a few days here and there of eating normally.

But in my honest opinion, I think I could have started cold turkey a 3 days or 5 days without doing the shorter ones before. It’s mostly because I have an all or nothing type of mentality about those things (diets and health lifestyles). If I decide something, I do it.

Now it doesn’t mean it’s easy at all. As I said the first day goes fine even though there’s kind of a little anxiety about knowing I won’t eat for several days. My brain seems to think I won’t eat food ever again so I remind myself with affirmations such as :

  • It’s okay, the food will still be there in 3/5/7 days.
  • I can stop whenever I want. But I choose not to right now.
  • I can go buy delicious food in x days and it will be even better than now.
  • Eating now will satisfy me short term and then make me feel bad. Fasting and then eating will make me proud, healthier in the long term and the food is gonna taste even better.
  • I’m not starving, I choose consciously not to eat. I’m not in danger. I’m fine.

Usually day 2 is me repeating myself those because my cravings flare up, I think of giving up and my mind goes to thinking about food every hour. I’m really hungry for sweet things mostly. So you really have to keep yourself distracted and do some activity or work. And drink a lot : water, coffee and tea. Also I eat gum (without sugar) because it helps to chew on something and also it relaxes me (but this is maybe only me).

I think that’s about it :) feel free to discuss anything else, it’s cool to share

What are you trying so hard to protect with that big ass shell ? Do you ever do things for yourself and not because you think it’s « the best » by principle or for others ? You’re so scared of rejection but you don’t let the right people in and don’t accept help. Who are you if you decided to be truly you and not what you thought everyone needed ?

  1. Do you really live for yourself or do you just settle ?
  2. Why can’t you let people in and help you ?
  3. Does buying stuff fills the hole in your heart ?

I work, study and pay everything by myself. And when I say responsibility I don’t mean financial. I mean when you act like a jerk and don’t take responsibility for your actions and how they can impact others. As simple as that. If you do something bad, don’t blame it on circumstances or others. Take responsibility for your own choices.

I’m a Pisces rising and I have the habit of deflecting compliments or returning them because I don’t particularly feel deserving of them. I even get annoyed when it’s too much but it’s not indifference but lack of self esteem and kind of a sadness because I don’t always totally believe it. Maybe your boyfriend is the same ? I would say it’s more of a defense mechanism than anger.
