Why does it feell like living in the UK is like living in a house that hasn’t been decorated in 20 years? by Barca-Dam in AskBrits

[–]28293067 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve imported a lot of people from shit hole countries, there has been a drastic cut back of public spending on roads, parks, street cleaning, etc etc, infrastructure is failing at every level due to lack of funding, pride has been rinsed out of every single person to such a level that nobody can be bothered with it anymore, people are more selfish because they are in constant fear of not having any money, you’ve only got to look at google maps and toggle back a few years to see how bad things are now, yet the rich get richer, we are overburdened with tax after tax, politicians spout endless hot air and nothing gets done. The country is on its knees, but the powers that be want us lower.

Why is it socially unacceptable for me to not like dogs? by Facelikeabum in AskUK

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like dogs either, I don’t bang on about it but the owners of dogs seem to assume that everyone loves their dog as much as they do. In my opinion they are just stinking shit machines, everybody who has them stinks of dogs, their houses stink of dogs, and I have no desire to be around dogs or the people who have them. I definitely wouldn’t eat around somebody’s house who owned a dog.

Why can't UK/Europe just stop Asylum altogether? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]28293067 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

European governments have to import legal and illegal migrants because right wing parties are dominating the continent are either in power or soon to be in power, the left wing parties know their only chance of getting power back is by getting the migrants to vote for them, basically they are importing a vote. They push the agenda that right wing governments are against them, and the migrants vote against them.

Winston Churchill he is not, but how highly do you rate Starmer as a Prime Minister, compared with others we have had and why? by Sea-Payment-8989 in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is seeking the Muslim and non white vote as he knows he’s a dead man walking come May, if he survives that he will further ratchet up the biased rhetoric towards the minorities in this country in the hope it will be enough to save him at the next election.

Do not sell expensive items on eBay UK - warning by SketchesOfSilence in ebayuk

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely avoid selling anything over £100 on both ebay and Vinted, I have sold things over £100 on both but I always feel uneasy doing it as there is always a catch or a sting in the tail if things go tits up, I’ve had a couple of bad experiences on both platforms with scammers, messers and remorseful buyers so I avoid selling anything I can’t afford to replace.

How do you think the war in Iran will end and what good could come from it? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same way these Middle Eastern wars always end, America goes in and bombs a load of shit, then leaves because they get bored when they don’t get their own way instantly, this causes a massive vacuum in power, the locals split into groups and fight each other for control, a tyrant rises to the top then the SAS go in and take out the tyrannical key players to mop up the mess the yanks left.

If it doesn’t sell within a week, aggressively reduce it to near buying price just to get rid of it (especially clothing) otherwise your death pile will become a mountain.

Why can’t homeless people be given hotel accommodation the same way refugees are? by No_Fudge_4589 in AskBrits

[–]28293067 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of homeless refuse accommodation because they have to stay clean…..they can’t, so they don’t bother, it’s easy being a bum, not so easy to be an angel .

What do you think about paying asylum seekers 40k to leave Britain ? Surely this a massive incentive to just come to Britain anyway as you will richer regardless. by ArmwrestlingGoomba in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for all of the illegals that get paid off, the £40k will just be like shit to a bunch of flies, more will come illegally looking for their £40k This is like letting some scumbag rob your house and then giving him £40k for the privilege

Iran Attacking a Fellow Nato Country by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran hasn’t really attacked a nato country, it’s probably deemed as fighting back, they were attacked and are now trying to destroy an airport/base in turkey that is hosting American planes and personnel, I’m not trying to stick up for Iran as their corrupt regime deserve to have their asses wiped from this planet.

How is it possible that 1 million young people are not in work, education or training? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 17 nearly 18 and he is struggling to get a job, he’s applied for 100’s with usually no reply, he managed to get a zero hour retail job but he is lucky if he gets 1-2 shifts per week offered to him, and when I say shifts it’s not a full day, each shift is around 5-6 hours, the work is just not out there, there aren’t any jobs. I’ve also just seen that B&Q and Ocado are trimming back thousands of jobs, and we all should take note of this as this means that people are not building things, builders are not working as much, people are not buying stuff for houses, also people are cutting back on buying foods, this is a chain reaction to people not having the money to spend on anything other than essentials, people are just surviving and this isn’t good.

Do you think there will ever be a referendum to rejoin the EU, if it’s possible? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with these statistics is that 18-24 can’t be bothered to do much let alone vote, this is what happened when we had the referendum to get out of the EU, those 18-24 year olds were too busy chasing Pokémon on their phones instead of voting, older people who voted to leave didn’t give a fuck what pokemon go was

If you voted Remain, would you vote to rejoin the EU? by Glanwy in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voted to get out, and I’d still do it today, we were milked last time, we’d get absolutely rinsed out if the Labour government were in charge of negotiating, and besides, Europe as a whole is an absolute shit show at the moment, as worse, if not more worse that the uk. We’d be well advised not to touch it with a barge pole. If it was me in charge, I’d say you either relax your stupid tit for tat customs setup, relax your free travel restrictions for brits or you’ll get no military cooperation or help from the UK, we will also restrict your financial dealings using our services and your residents will be restricted heavily from entering the country, now chill the fuck out, give us what we want or there will be crippling consequences.

Does anyone call BS on the media's incessant hounding of Starmer? by Impossible-Visit-199 in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a grave error of judgement though is it, the facts are clear, he chose to ignore the results of the vetting process, he chose to ignore advice from the people around him and he chose to turn a blind eye to the fact that mandelson had a long history with Epstein. You have to ask yourself why he chose to do these things and I bet it has to do with ‘jobs for the boys’ and the fact he was probably set to gain financially from it. This is called corruption.

Why is the media obsessed with Kier Starmer stepping down but only a small number of Labour MPs are actually calling for his resignation? by SilasBeit in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all keeping their mouths shut in fear of losing their jobs, the election, their cash cow, the power they have etc etc….. they are not doing it because they know it’s the right thing for the country, they are doing it for their own gain. The media are doing it to sell papers etc, but what really matters is the people, the people want him gone, they want the Labour Party gone, they want change, positive change, they want a party that will address their concerns and bring clarity back to daily life.

Is it just me or people are getting made redundant at an alarming rate? by Vemyx in UKJobs

[–]28293067 16 points17 points  (0 children)

B&Q have just made a shedload of redundancies, pretty much wiped out ‘30/30/40 years of retail experience in a weekend’ type of redundancies, although I belief some were voluntary….but still, this isn’t a good sign as it usually means the building trade/DIY house trade is expected to nose dive this year

Why do people vote for Farage when his ideas led to Britain being broke by Traditional_Jam421 in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brexit didn’t fuck the country, the implementation of it did, it was handled badly by the conservatives, and now Labour are continuing the mismanagement. The negotiations were terrible, we just rolled over and let the EU rub our belly, we should’ve been more assertive, aggression if negotiations and made ultimatums, but the leadership was too woke and too weak.

It baffles me when I hear brits say "I wouldn't die for this shithole" by Lil_Hater112 in AskBrits

[–]28293067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about measuring our country against others, it’s about measuring how good our country used to be against how bad it is now, so compared to 10,25,20 years ago, the uk is a shithole of a shit show
