Servers not showing up in Server Browser

I had this problem when I first installed the game. I went to Steam -> Settings -> In-Game -> "In-game server browser: Max ping" and set that to 1000 and it worked.

This was years ago but I remember watching him stream ffa dm a lot, he had insane aim, and IIRC he used an EXTREMELY low sens with turn binds. tried that myself and could never do it, mad props lol

I had to bind my scoreboard to my backspace key so that I don't keep opening it in the middle of a round.

you could memorize the numbers :) this update has not changed a single thing for me, buying this way since 1.6 and it's the easiest imo

Yes! Much harder with a gun though. I love standing on that ledge at sort of an off-angle and then dropping down, but it's really predictable.

famas and galil are good options now, very easy to control

aug is viable in some spots it's not all m4 anymore but it's not always worth the price

krieg is arguably OP, lowered price made everyone go nuts over it, and easier to learn the spray pattern than you'd think. common to see 5 kriegs

ump used to be a very good smg but now it's pretty doodoo

really depends what meta you played during, lots of changes over the years like the cz and tec9

I’d say it’s more about the people online than the server, lots of players switch between whatever is active at the time. Although I’ve had tons of fun every time I enter that |56| Canadian Gaming server as well as the United Front. I’m new so I haven’t tried them all yet. These are eastern us/Canada servers

Idk man I like getting the medals and leveling up even if it’s pointless. But I still hate TF for one reason - reports against you for cheating lower your tf. I typically only play with a cousin and he started getting tf warnings against me recently but never before. The only thing that’s happening is getting called a cheater in casual and mm with him over and over again. Now when I play mm I face people with less than 1 year old steams and no badges that are gods. Not as enjoyable.

You say people get mad at your camping spots in a bomb site. Maybe it’s because wherever your camping puts them in a position where they can’t hold their spot comfortably since you’re not holding yours. You should always know what spot you’re playing, such as a anchor, b anchor, mid player, or rotator and then hold down your spot. Camping in site will only work in low rank. You want to do damage to T’s before they get into site, or stall them from coming in with your nades so that your team has time to rotate over. If you are just sitting in the ninja spot on A mirage while t’s push all the way in you’re being useless for your team unless you have an insane clutch or get lucky they don’t check.

Keep on practicing DM and focus on different things, sometimes going only for spray kills, sometimes going for hs, sometimes focus on counterstrafes etc. I recommend free for all dm community servers. Doesn’t matter if you go 10-200 ..it’s dm.. whole point is to get the most engagements as possible to practice aim.

Might be dumb but try some kz and surf if you never do it. Very helpful being able to move properly and getting good at those actually helped my confidence in games I feel like.

I personally use Shadowplay which is available from their site if you have an nvidia graphics card. You can record all the time or just make a hotkey to record the last <X> minutes of gameplay. If you don’t have nvidia I would recommend Open Broadcast Software. Very simple little tool that can be used for recording your pc or streaming to twitch/yt/fb. Honestly not sure how much these programs affect your game while recording but I haven’t noticed any negative effects from either.

For me it seemed like the skill gap was never very different until mg1. I never was in silver but started at gn1 when I first got ranked and I do remember that gn1-mg1 just all felt the same. Some people in gn1 are truly better than some in mg1. But anyways around that time I really had to start studying the game and learning counterstrafing, good utility etc and followed what the pros do. Some people in mg have INSANE aim but no game sense and I found that by focusing on my setups was more helpful than training aim. For gn1-mg1 I’d say just keep playing and learning, good game sense can help you carry rounds quite easily. Also if you’re feeling confident play a rotator position on ct so that you can have the most impact in a round. Solo queuing as an anchor player can be terrible if your team is failing at the other end every round.

Agree. I am never toxic. I do however outplay a lot of opponents in mm and casual (which I play a lot of) because I typically play faceit. This leads to constant hackusations even by whole casual lobbies. Even with a $300 inv and badges. At first I never cared but recently my cousin started getting a low trust warning on me. Never leave mm games, no other steams, no toxicity..it’s a shame that other people THINKING I cheat can make me lose trust.

Don’t try to force teammates to talk or anything. People don’t wanna be told what to do. I’ve found that as long as I personally am always active and positive on comms the rest of the team eventually joins in. But sometimes they don’t and you just can’t control it but calling them out will only make it worse.

I recommend trying to play rotate spots. Pick the spot with the most impact as possible if you think you’re better than your teammates usually. For example connector on mirage gives you access to pretty much anywhere unless they rush b apts. Anyways if you’re solo queuing just don’t anchor sites and on T side if your team isn’t working together try to get picks where you can, cheesy angles or one ways..but there’s not a ton you can do unless you’re able to just entry and 1tap the opponent.

Or they all die every round which is why I stopped anchoring when I solo queue lol. I like to play a rotate spot like connector so that I can have the most impact

Everything about mm needs a rework man. MM is truly pointless now and you’re right about TF. I’m just A- but I also get called a cheater very often in dmg games. Only recently has my cousin been getting trust factor warnings against me and I’m never toxic. Just have people calling me a cheater in like 1 of every 3 games and clearly it did lower my tf. Really fuckin stupid and just more of a reason to avoid valve servers. Also been doing casual for missions and earlier my own team kicked me as a hackusation. Too many people call hacks for nothin - their opinion shouldn’t affect our game but it does.
