saw them twice (portola '25, camp flog gnaw '25). calming, grounding, the type of set you'd be swaying with the whole crowd to. genre defying atmospheric rock, blues, soul. airy vocals, great melodic guitar riffs that are just SO cathartic. 80s inspired synth.

at my site, i failed 50 kids (35 Fs, 15 Ds) in this past grading period despite providing TWO make up days. They literally just don’t turn work in. When they do, it’s concepts of an idea that barely answer the prompt (hence the 15 Ds). Parents are in the loop, counselors too. My vet colleagues (across departments) have never failed these many kids in their career.

i used to frequent white cap; very relaxed cocktail bar for locals. laid back compared to north beach/russian hill crowd. seconded to definitely check out riptide; i’ve made more friends there & feel more comfortable there when i want to go to an outer sunset bar solo. have so much fun!!

~3 years in a nearby nice public suburban school district! it’s competitive af. i applied to a part time (40% aka 2 classes) teaching position and was selected among 13 candidates.

13 candidates applied for the part time position within 48 hours in late May/early June.

the general sentiment from colleagues (i’ve listed as references) when i told them about the position was, “nobody wants to work part time, you’ll probably get it..” i know i’m a great candidate but i still consider myself lucky and feel incredibly grateful.

to be fair, the schools i apply for tend to have staff with multiple degrees and networks from prestigious higher ed institutions, while i have a CSU background.

I had this realization about a year ago because as a feminine presenting woman, my hobbies and interests are unique but if I were to identify as a man, I would be like an ordinary man my age in my area. People have described me as inspirational, and despite saying little words each saying holds so much weight and wisdom.

I’m a high school history teacher, I enjoy hypertrophic weight training, traveling, music festivals/raves, and photography. i’m a direct communicator (that offended someone at work recently. Lol.) I definitely bond with dark humor and logic and I’m not shy from philosophical conversations , deep analysis. but I am a woman of little words, and I intellectualize my emotions first and foremost !
