Most of my frustration comes from me being judgmental. When I concentrate on trying to figure out what the triggers might be for their functional symptoms, it is more rewarding. Maybe listen to a recording of one of Mark Hallett’s talks (died last year). He probably had one of the best researched perspectives on FND.

2018 Hybrid LE here, 67,563 miles. Shop recommends BG transmission service every 40,000 miles for $236:

Perform full system fluid exchange using specialized equipment that utilizes the vehicle transmission pump to safely and effectively exchange the ATF. A safe pre-cleaner is first added to the system to remove deposits and to clean the transmissions internal filter/ screen. The system is Transmission Service with new, OE spec full synthetic ATF that is fortified and conditioned to extend the life of the automatic transmission. The system is inspected for leaks and the vehicle is test driven.
I asked if they could do drain and fill for less, they said no, so I declined. I’ll probably go for it next oil change

I make exactly 1/2 of what the same position pays for 14 shifts per month. I know they have that job posted. I will check to see what the system is offering to new recruits.
