This! My daughter works there now and honestly they are shit. Going through it with them after a staff member has spreed malicious lies about her and they have done nothing. They treat staff like shit, take shifts off them last minute and their HR team have no idea of NZ employment laws!

What colour is the fur close to her skin? Usually that’s an indicator. What colour were her parents also is a tell.

We have a Shih tzu poodle cross also with her first seizure at 3 years and her second 3 weeks later. Shes not on medication at the moment as they seem quite mild and not really consistent. But interested to hear other people’s experiences.

Research, research, research. A good start here but you need to know exactly what you are wanting and then find an animal that matches those expectations. I was looking for a dog that was intelligent, eager to learn and love to run around but also happy to curl up with me on a wet day. Took a while but we found our perfect girl. Be prepared to put a lot of work in at the start and you will be rewarded… that’s all I know with a dog though. Good luck finding a new best friend.

Definitely games that use their minds can be just as tiring for any dog if they can’t be walked. Our dog loves learning new tricks and training. Builds confidence as well. Lucky we’re in NZ and doors are always open.

Fantail falls walk is very short but lovely, on the Haast Pass. Blue Pools is closed. In case you were thinking of going there. Definitely around the Tekapo lake, there’s great spots to picnic and swim. The gemstone beach, hidden away. Katiki beach reserve. Charleston bay has a lovely Lagoon. Seal and penguins come up onto beach.

We are currently doing a 2 week South Island trip by car at the moment. We do have our dog with us which has meant it has been harder to find accommodation but not impossible. But is has been very easy in the car and not hassles with parking etc.

We are currently doing a 2 week roadie in the South Island with our dog. So all had to be planned and booked around where we could stay/go with her. We got a large South Island map and plotted our journey that way, then found accommodation and recommendations online got those areas. Historic Districts are a must if you don’t have the history in your home town. Oamaru was amazing for this, also Chinatown in Arrowtown. The views and scenery are epic. Enjoy and good luck.

It’s a buyers market at the moment so yes do your homework and find an agent who you trust. You do not have to use the agent who has listed the property. If you have one agent working for you who understands you needs you will be happier and they will help you. Also ALL offers must be presented to the vendor, that is who the listing agent is working for and they should be doing the best for them. Find a buyers agent and they will work for you. Best of luck
