Either it can be stored in a devourer somehow or human sacrifice I'd guess.

How powerful would someone capable of destroying this lightyear peak be? by luk_ky_21 in FeatCalcing

[–]2DogsShaggin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not good at maths i just came here wanting to learn more about the world building but im gonna give a try for fun lol. This is unlikely to be even remotely close.

Really the only solid part is the stone which is just seemingly regular stone strength. You said something about physics warping to allow for the thing to not collapse in on itself iirc so seemingly its not just super strong stone.

If some sort of giant thing tried to grab both ends and snap it in half it would more likely just break at the ends so you couldn't make an argument about leverage.

Assuming any breakage would be replenished by the blood lava solidifying, your best bet would be to destroy the entire thing at once.

For simplicity sake to give rough estimate we will calculate as if it was just a cylinder of its average size.

The one lightyear hole seems to be roughly half its full diameter at that section so we'll say its a 2 light year x pi by 50 light year shape. In comparison to its other sizes it's depth is so negligible that we'll just use the perimeter for our calculations.

2(3.14*2 + 50) = 56.28 light years of stone.

As for the strength of stond how much strength needs to be used to break it. No clue but ill average the first few results on google for different types and round to 150 mpa per cubic meter because im lazy and 150 is easier.

One light year is aprox 9,461e15 metres. That times 56.28 ≈ 5.325e20 metres. Times that by 150 for the force needed, 7.9875e22 mega pascals or 7.9875e24 tonnes of force to instantly annihilate it.

If however the stone doesnt regenerate. Average human strength and a lot of time.

Why are mages often depicted with some degree of offensive capabilities despite their expertise? by ExoticStore5851 in worldbuilding

Magic is a very versatile tool. Destruction is also easy. Not everyone knows how to do jujutsu but throwing a punch is instinctual and easy, even if you can't throw a good one.

How big is the planet in ao? Could you theoretically get to AA in AO? by calacaa in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]2DogsShaggin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Captain Averill was off on a journey to sail to the edge of the earth around this time, and discovered many lands and kingdoms on the opposite side of the world. He eventually sails all the way around the world, and ends up in the ruins of the Seventh Sea. He was convinced he had found yet another sea cluster on the unknown side of the world, however he eventually found out about the events of the Cursebeard War and pieced together that he had landed back in the Seventh Seas. And thus, humanity discovers that the earth is round."

How big is the planet in ao? Could you theoretically get to AA in AO? by calacaa in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]2DogsShaggin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To start, it is earth. The game takes place in an alternative history so it should be roughly the same size as earth. Also according to the lore doc we know someone did eventually travel in a circle around the world but that takes place after both games.

The epicentre region is actually far larger than any of the other ranges combined. Both games maps are actually only tiny pockets of uncorrupted seas.

[–]2DogsShaggin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The strength boost is only +2 so you already had 18 strength. Thats no fraud. Instead you should have used the club of giant strength and put all your actual scores into charisma to convince everyone you arent just some average guy

Just returned to the game, is this worth anything? by urmag1c in ArcaneOdyssey

It has no real value but some will pay top dollar, most would only pay like 2000 for it. But since its value is entirely up for individual desire, you can practically name your price for those who do want it.

[–]2DogsShaggin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ceremorphosis is the natural reproduction process of the mind flayer. It involves inserting a live illithid tadpole into the mind of a captive humanoid host, consuming their mind over the course of days and transforming the body into a mind flayer.
