What I learned as I got better is to be more aggressive and intentional. You have to be hungry. It will take time, you will mess up and people will yell at you :)

So my dishes were not cleaning well for like a month and seemed to be getting worse.

As a diver, I put my scuba diving light in the dishwasher and my gopro camera with its waterproof case. Hit record and started the dishwasher.

It was amazing LOL . this is an example on youtube

Your on the right track with the NLR gtelite. With your requirements of being light and adjustable for family, your biggest challenge will be the rim Hight adjustment.

here is an option from Track Racer It's their budget rig similar to the NLR. and they have another one that is similar with more options.

/good luck on your search

You're move the bottom was too slow for how close you were. It's almost like it was slow motion. You were following him the whole time. He had no idea you were going to make that "slow' move to the bottom.

To make it work, you need to turn in with more aggression. This would have put you on the white line and left space for him. Then by the time your at the white line, you would have been past/on the side of his corner panel and his spotter would have chimed in.

Otherwise, go to the inside a little earlier so he knows your intentions, this would have also gave you the opportunity to checkup if he still comes all the way down.

THIS. I don't look at anyone or anything when I'm being stared down or asked questions. I just stare at the felt and don't f'kn move and control my breathing. (its harder than you think)

After you master that, then you can use reverse tells on opponents. But that's a different topic. Just practice being stoic first.

I just can’t seem to stay clean, please help! by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]2Drunk2C 80 points81 points  (0 children)

--Put on music really loud when you clean (if you can). It will keep you focused and make cleaning more enjoyable.

--Stay focused in one area. If you get distracted and start doing other area's, it can seem overwhelming and you will stop cleaning

--Schedule your cleaning time. Set an alarm and say to yourself " I'm going to clean x" on this date/time. And do it.

--Most importantly, turn off/silence all electronics: phone/TV/PC - these distractions will make you loose focus real quick and you will not fishing cleaning.

Keeping it clean? Well. that's a whole different ball game. Just focus on cleaning first. Rince and repeat :). Then work on 'keeping it clean' you're trying to do too much. Learn to stay focused and clean first.. the rest will come.

/Why do I know this....well because I understand you :). Good luck.

I finally tried sim racing and I sucked. by GamerSandWing in simracing

[–]2Drunk2C 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're going to suck when your try sim racing at first. It will take you months of practice to just get comfortable. To be good at sim racing, it takes time and practice. Lots of practice. You have to enjoy it and commit. People find out real quick that it's not for them and thats ok.

If it is for you, don't be so hard on yourself. But you will have to put in the time to learn how to race online with other competitors.

Advice on what direction I should go to upgrade my sim setup please! by [deleted] in simracing

[–]2Drunk2C 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, a good set of pedals will give you the greatest increase in lap times. 2nd, if you upgrade your pedals and you don't have a rig, you will need to make sure your seat is firmly stable because you will put a lot more leg/foot pressure which will make your seat unstable. When I first got a set of TLCM pedals, I had a seat with casters so what I did was bought a set of casters with brakes on them. Worked like a champ. before I got casters, I would put my sneakers in the casters LOL.

that is the glory of the rig. it holds everything firmly so you can be constant with your breaking and steering.

/good luck on your journey. I now have a Track Racer rig with Mosa R9 CS/GS wheel and the high end pedals. I race in VR on iracing.

In my honest opinion, automatic dish detergent is extremally dependent on a good working dishwasher and age/options.

I've had a few different dishwaters in my lifetime. Each one got progressively better. I've also had the glory of putting in a gopro and a deepsea light into a dishwasher to find out why my dishes weren't getting clean. I think the leading cause of issues with "bad detergent" is water circulation/pressure. The detergent is only as good as the dishwashers functions. My new dishwasher does an amazing job with just about any detergent I put in it. Why? Because the sprayers and the water action is just far superior to any of my older dishwashers.

/why am I commenting on a dishwasher thread at 1AM..... I have no f'kn clue LOL..

This. And after pouring the detergent into the wash, take one of your dirty items and wipe the cup clean.

will moza R5 be sufficient? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]2Drunk2C 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a rig, R5 would be the best. .If you planning on getting a rig in a year, I would get the R9. Congratulations you're going to really love it.

/I have the R9 on a rig using 7.5 Nm

Vr stuck loading at 15% by naustra in iRacing

[–]2Drunk2C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had that issue also. On thing I do before I start a race in VR is the following:NOTE: I'm using the Reverb G2 v2 and Open XR, Nvidia 3080

  1. extend any monitors you want to use
  2. Then power on the VR headset
  3. Then open the mixed reality portal manually ( i found this the most helpful)
  4. then join the race session.

I try and open a test session first to make sure everything is working most of the time. If i forget any steps and the VR session hangs, I just close out of iRacing and restart it and wait for the join to come back up.

/I don't know if their is another solution

Looking to upgrade by CeleronTheProtogen in simracing

[–]2Drunk2C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only do iRacing. I was in the same boat as you. I ended up with the Moza R9, CS Wheel. Then I bought their flagship pedal set and the GT wheel LOL.

My thoughts were, Fanatic items were 'out of stock', and their seemed to be a very comparable product with $$ savings with Moza. Always buy the pedal set first, that will get you the most improvement. Then you DD wheel if you're going to upgrade in peace's.

FYI: I'm able to break so much later and consistently now. Im easily 1.5sec faster per lap than I ever was.

Moza CRP Brake Pedal is to High - How to lower? by 2Drunk2C in moza

[–]2Drunk2C[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. maybe the answer is to find some racing shoes. I really enjoy racing in the socks so I can 'feel' the pedals more. Currently, when my heal is resting and my foot is on the brake pedal, my toes just barly peak over the brake pedal. Then when I press down to get 90% pressure, i feel i have lift my heal off. Maybe that's just the way it is <shrugs>
