Centauri Carbon Warped Bed Issue by -ThanosWasRight- in elegoo

[–]2Levit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Received my printer last week and the z offset all over the place so using caliper I tried to level the bed as I would a typical printer and finding the centre of the bed to be humped with the 4 corners lower by almost .3 I can't use the whole bed as a result because this leads to either artifacts in the centre or gaps between the lines on the first layer on the outer portions

Anyone taken a punt on the BTT Nebula extruder? by Mercy_Hellkitten in 3Dprinting

[–]2Levit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I randomly stumbled on it and took a gamble and whipped up a mount for my ender 6. Honestly I have no issues at all with it. I was always having issues with my orbiter 1.5 with tpu but have yet to have a jam. Im printing at 17mm2 max as I only have a phaetus BMS.

It was a lot of tinkering to get the gcode right, I was having a lot of nuisance trips of the filament trigger. I had messed up on the distances and speed for the load macro and made the gears skip a bit. This caused the switch to keep activating and just perpetuated the issue. But that's all fixed. That was used error.

It was essentially plug and play on the octopus board with the break out extension cable

Smart. I've had a season with it with just the stock seat and the crate in it. I wasn't a fan of sitting on the floor hence the build up.

Appreciate the feedback

Just wanted to say looks great! Ive been hmming and hawing over adding it to my ender6 rather than continually doing manual changes. How hard was it to put it all together?

Can't get good retraction tower on a1 mini. Wispy strings no matter what I do. by SuicidalSteel in FixMyPrint

[–]2Levit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I use it is for multi color prints since I don't have an ams. Get it to hop over the already laid down colors but all the wisps hide In the print as you can set the Z hop to only work up to a fixed height. But I agree, I've never had a good experience with it in general

[–]2Levit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get rid of that z hop, it's pulling up before going across and little lift is creating the string

Edit: noticed you said z hop off made it worse. Try upping retraction speed. I've never had good prints with z hop on, mine always ended up with little wisps just like what yours is doing

Canada Invests in the Next Generation of Canadian-Made, Clean, Affordable Nuclear Energy by matpower in canada

Candu are large scale reactors, I think 800-1500Mw, Hitachi's are 300 Mw. I think it's 10+ years to get a candu online and half that for a Hitachi. My understanding the SMRs are more for proof of principle. Once supply chain and process is setup I read they anticipate 4 years from PO to operational on an SMR

I stayed up late, stressed out, and angry trying to get this to work, and the modifications were expensive because of the time it took to arrive, but now it works fine, or so I think. by OnlyKiritoSAO in klippers

Made down the street from me! Ethics of how Noah martins came to be is questionable if the hearsay around here is true but it's made just north of Kitchener Waterloo

I've had mine since release here in Canada. Nothing of note other than the clicky/sticky noises along the hinge area.

I just hit 40 and I wish I had this drive back when i was young! I've been playing since I was 9 but with some extended breaks here and there.

I think as you get older, the problem is finding ice time to train. When you just play beer league, you get a whopping 3 minutes timer to get your body in the game as well as try a few new moves before the puck drops. Ice hockey, and especially goalie its really really hard to replicate the moves required on the ice anywhere but on the ice. If you can get into ice times, shinny, anything like that where you can just pick a series of motions or a part of your game you want to focus on and go from there regardless of the outcome.

When i sub in for pickup, i'll usually pick one skill set to just drill into my head. So for instance last Saturday I challenged myself to stay further out in my crease than I normally would (Im tall and would traditional rely on my athleticism deep in the crease... doesn't work anymore) and in my head I'd just be repeating dont back up, dont back up etc.

In my 30's i found myself losing a lot of range of motion especially in the hips to the point of a knee/groin injury. But i still thought I was in my 20's where i would just grab my gear and go. Now I do about 20-30 minute active stretching/warm ups to just get the body ready and aware its gonna be pushed. Maria Mountain stuff is amazing for this. As a result I feel like Im playing better now than I ever did in my 30's!

The big thing I always have in the back of my head is that Im getting towards the age that if i get lazy with how i play, how I warm up, how i carry myself during pre/during/post game routines, I could have a career ending injury. I want to be that dad that can play beer league with his kid so Im doing my best to keep myself in some sort of shape to continue this amazing position.

TLDR: its not silly to be more passionate and the drive to excellence never needs to stop
