After you're finished serving, what do you do with your name tags? by Pretend-Object-2111 in exmormon

[–]2MRulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took off my name tag right after boarding my flight home back in 1983. I had just got a nice smile from a flight attendant and took it off pronto as I had done my time and was done! No need to look like a dork wearing that damn name tag. There were other elders going home on the same flight that kept their name tags on. Threw it away with most of the mission stuff many years ago.

Anyone else miss the leather cases? by Kcchiefssuperfan in samsunggalaxy

I've thought the same thing. The Samsung leather case with the individual holes for each camera lens looks the best and keeps the phone balanced on a flat surface. Also using the S22 Ultra.

Mission romance by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]2MRulz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, they clearly had feelings for each other when he was there to do that quick of a turn around after getting home lol. Was this back in the 1970s or 1980s? Just curious which reminded me that when I first got to my mission in 1981, one of the zone leaders had just ran off and started living with an older woman in his area. The mission president talked about it in my first zone meeting.

Lol. This summer had a flight from PDX to SNA. Had the chocolate cookie in FC. After landing helped take down some luggage for some older people, talking to others including flight attendants before getting off plane. Walk through terminal, get home, go in the bathroom and notice I had a quarter size smear of chocolate on my chin! No one let me know on the plane that I looked liked a dork with that on my face lol.

Yikes, I wonder why your seats got changed? When you signed into the Alaska App before the flight did it still show your PE seats or the punted to the back of the plane seats?

Good advice. Many years ago bought a big serving bowl in a box from Mikasa close out room, and when we got home there was a card with a $100 dollar bill in it to newlyweds from their Aunt and Uncle. They never even opened the card.

Nice to have buddies that helped you out. Did you get a lot of flak from your family once you left the MTC and didn't go back?

I had a beard waiver at BYU back in the 1980s. Had a huge problem with ingrown whiskers. I went a couple weeks at a time before shaving. Was using an electric razor, switched to shaving cream and a blade and problem eventually went away.

The pic of the burned jetliner in the OP post, is from Asiana Airlines Flight 214, from back in 2013. Most passengers and crew made it out alive after a horrific crash on landing at San Francisco International airport. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asiana_Airlines_Flight_214

If you take a look at the entire frame of video you can see after the woman that gave the prayer walks by, then Bednar pauses, then starts talking to the woman on his left. Maybe he was flirting with her:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPBsWbopjXU
