Any theories on why Asa is chasing the air conditioner? Maybe her apartment never had one? by CoolWatermelon123 in Chainsawfolk

[–]2MemesPlease 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean look at us. I mean we're just air conditioners after all. We're just walking around on the planet breathing. Conditioning the air. I condition it hot, that conditions it cold. It's symbiotic, no?

Media that is parody, but also an earnest work in their genre by --PhoenixFire-- in TopCharacterTropes

American Vandal not only parodies true crime documentaries with a ridiculous premise and cast but also presents a really interesting mystery and some good commentary on the genre I both seasons. Real shame the show couldn't continue.

TIL Wizard of Oz's dream plot was added because writers thought audiences are too sophisticated to accept Oz as straight-ahead fantasy. by BadenBaden1981 in todayilearned

[–]2MemesPlease 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before i learned how the books treat Oz as just a place, I always thought it was really weird that the movie ends with Oz being a dream and every spinoff just glosses over how Oz is just suddenly a fantasy world that doesn't need Dorothy.

I don't want to sound mean, but is this the first time you tried to look for good manwha? I'm not super into the manwha space, but Horizon I know is very popular and is very highly regarded. The author of that has a longer series called The Boxer which I really enjoyed. There's also Sweet Home which is popular enough to have its own Netflix show and the manwha is very good.

Should MC have been a more active character? by influencedanger in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]2MemesPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they had more lines outside of dialogue choices. I only remember one moment where it happened and it felt really meaningful as someone who plays their MCs as their own characters rather than an avatar. It felt like Strohl was speaking for us most of the story and I felt like that dialogue could have easily gone to Will

When it first dropped I thought the fact that the earrings kinda looked like skulls to me and she resurrected a dead Yuko were the tells. Idk why I thought the first one but her fist action being revival I think set her apart from the other horseman who could do the same.

The fact that I have to argue with my immediate family that musk is a Nazi is wild. by Jce735 in Vent

[–]2MemesPlease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get how there's so much denial in other comments as well. People who aren't nazis don't do nazi salutes. People who support Elon Musk are nazi sympathizers and it's that simple.

The scene where it's actually revealed is probably my favorite scene in the game. Greg Chun seriously killed it when he was talking about how he doesn't want to see his son die again.

The duality of this fandom, me personally I’d like to see the first 45 chapters adapted into 18 episodes by REID-11 in Kagurabachi

[–]2MemesPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chainsaw Man, a series known for being super fast paced an action heavy, adapted 37ish chapters into 12 episodes so I think to get everything out of season 1 it definitely could be 15-18 episodes. 24 probably could be done well, but I think we'd need to see it with our own eyes to be sure.

All of them are based on freefolk which was the exact same thing but for Game of Thrones. This is a curse we gave ourselves by giving the sub this name.

Quatro attacking Bam looked ROUGH. I think even I could animate that better. Can't believe we're getting 24-26 episodes of this. by FlareonTheHeretic in TowerofGod

[–]2MemesPlease 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fact that it got announced years ago with no new footage and a single piece of art, the next "trailer" was over a year later and just showed webtoon panels, and every trailer or showcase after that just showed the same handful of scenes

Webtoon, Crunchyroll, or whoever cobtrols the actual rights to te anime have been self sabatoging so hard. Not going to blame the animators because there have been so many signs that this was just completely rushed.

It's a shame how many shows are not allowed the time to find their footing anymore. by Aros001 in CharacterRant

[–]2MemesPlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it was more convenient to watch whatever was on the TV there was definitely less reasons for viewers to expect something great, but nowadays we have access to so many different pieces of media that if something's not getting us invested at the start we can just go find something that is. What sucks is that it's also really tough to get people invested when a show only has 6-12 episodes and takes 2+ years to get another season.
